"Excellent itinerary and choice of lodges that matched well with our requirements - we appreciated that. Very helpful route map and pack provided ahead of the trip. I have absolutely no complaints on any aspect of the trip and would thoroughly recommend it again! Thank you to Expert Africa.

In the end we did not choose the coastal route up to Torras Bay as most travelers we talked with suggested it got a bit monotonous after a well - but the road was good and outside of rain I think this would have been fine. "Another extremely enjoyable visit to Kenya.

Loldia House is a good place to start, offering a beautiful house that is not difficult to get to from Nairobi.

The Mara was ... the Mara! Cats all over the place - we even saw leopard on four occasions - the weather was lovely during the day, with rain just on a couple of occasions late on.

The standards at Governors' were as high - in all aspects - as we have previously experienced and although not the cheapest place to stay, you do "get what you pay for". Note, if you want to get best value from them, opt to take breakfast with you on the early drive ... we were out for the best part of six hours each morning with another 3 - 31/2 hour pm drive.

"The entire trip was excellent and once again we really were so happy with the service and preparation provided by Sabina and her colleagues at Expert Africa.

We also ended the holiday with a self-organised further 3 days in Kruger in South Africa, spending time and seeing incredible animals there too, with our friends from Cape Town, so in its entirety our holiday was by far one of the best we have ever had in this part of the world.

And - although more on the joking side - perhaps advise in more detail customers who plan to drive in Botswana about the speed limits and how strictly they are checked (and penalised!) by the Botswana police. Also, worth advising that sometimes the speed limit will be reduced from 120 to 60 in a very short distance which almost can make it impossible to get under 60 - I was done for this although doing only 67, had my licence retained (in Gumari) while I drove to the cash machine to extract Pula to pay the fine. And the potholes on Botswana roads - this was something I have never seen before and so worth tipping off the drivers to pay really close attention to them, as they can be really dangerous if you are not careful!" "This is the second time we have travelled with Expert Africa after our honeymoon in 2013, and on both occasions they have been superb (we never got round to doing the feedback on that first trip - sorry....).

Claire was very efficient and super-helpful with advice in response to our requests in terms of dates and locations, and her advice in terms of re-balancing the number of days we spent in different parts of the country proved to be spot-on.

Remote support for when things went slightly wrong - when our flight to Cape Town was very delayed - was great: on contacting Expert Africa, they were immediately able to re-schedule our transfer from the airport to our hotel.

South Africa - the second time we have visited, although the first was very briefly in a very wet August - was fantastic. At no point did we have any security concerns; the roads, admittedly generally between major population centres, were excellent; and the holiday experience itself was straightforward and relaxing, whilst encompassing some wonderfully special moments that will always live with us.

We now find ourselves as an informal local branch of the SA Tourist Board, so much do we rave about the country to friends and family!

Overall experience; trip as a whole:

"Well organised self-drive tour. I would definitely recommend a 4WD as the roads on this trip were very rough in parts.
