"The trip was fabulous.

The staff at expert Africa gave us good advice about where to go and made the planning straightforward.

Going to three different camps allowed us to see animals in different landscapes.

Because we went to two Nomad and then a different company camp there was a lot of disappointment about not staying with Nomad. This however was a good idea as the food is quite similar at each camp and you might get bored of it!

The driving distances in the northern circuit aren't that large and it may be that a combination of driving and flying would result in greater exposure to the countryside.

I guess as a first time safari-gooer I didn't really realise how close we would come to the animals and how we would feel part of their world (them looking at us as well as the other way around!) "This was our second trip to Botswana and we used different companies for our lodgings to compare. Overall each company has it's strengths and we were very happy with each one. We had very different experiences than our last trip (Both were great) and although we're not Safari experts we now feel well rounded and somewhat experienced with different camps/locations.

November seems to be great value we missed heavy rains (One torrential downpour on each trip) and saw most animals at nearly every camp. We met some great people both staff and guests that we will always remember fondly.

Our "once in a lifetime" trip turned into "Twice in a lifetime" and who knows................

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

We chose in advance to deal with Megan as she was very helpful when we researched our first trip in 2014. We ultimately used a different company but remembered Megans advice and suggestions. Pricing was very close this time around although one thing that hurts us is the surcharge on credit cards. We're not used to that in North America. Expert Africa was higher priced by almost exactly the 2% but we really did want to deal with Megan and were very happy with both her patience as we made decisions and the overall package she helped us put together. "From arranging the trip, which was decided on within a month or two, it was handles with great care, and we were always given alternatives, and possibilities, to tailor the trip around us.

We received our information pack, with our safari trips listed each day, information on the camp and surrounding areas.

This was a great help, as neither of us had been on this type of trip before, and was not quite sure what to expect.

Well we need not have any concerns, everything was as listed, staff were always on hand, information about the camp was given each day at breakfast, it was a fantastic experience from the booking to arriving, The departure was a little sad, as I would not hear my morning Hippo song, and had to leave behind the wonderful staff in the camp.

Please carry on treating us a individual people, It was very pleasant, having a named person to deal with and not being passed around the sales office.

Due to this we felt informed at all times, and Amanda also made us feel our trip was as important to her as it was to us.

"I was very pleased that the experience I wanted to share with my friends ,was exactly what I wanted. Only first night and the Tok tokkie were a disappointment.

We all really enjoyed the trip. It is a wonderful, safe, country and the people delightful. This is what we most enjoyed, the contact with such lovely friendly people and being driven across amazing landscapes and then staying in beautiful , unusual camps.

"It was amazing, easily one of the best trips we've ever been on.

The fact that we could do it with our small kids made it all the more special, and it was certainly a lot easier than we expected/feared.
