Notes about this trip
- The prices shown are based on two people travelling together and sharing a double or twin room.
- The flight from London Gatwick to Kigali with Rwandair is not daily; chat to us for other route options.
- Because this trip is based on a private vehicle and guide, costs reduce if more than two people are travelling. Conversely, they increase substantially if one person is travelling alone.
- It is worth noting that the gorilla treks can be strenuous, but they are taken at a slow pace; the hike could be anything from 30 minutes to around six hours, depending on which gorilla family you visit.
- An additional new activity to add to your trip is canoeing along the Mukungwa River near to Musanze. With spectacular scenery and birdlife, it’s a peaceful and relaxing way to enjoy the location. There are a couple of faster sections of water during the trip, which add to the excitement, though these can be walked around for those of a nervier disposition. Canoeing trips are also available to the nearby Rugezi wetlands, a great area for birdwatching opportunities. Chat to us for more details on these optional extras.
