Porcupine safari

Porcupine safari

This safari takes in four contrasting areas of the Okavango Delta and the surrounding environments. Included in the itinerary are four remote camps which are great for the variation in activities that they offer such as walking, riding and water activities.

Linyanti Bush Camp is where you’ll begin the safari – in the drier, game-rich Kwando-Linyanti region of the northern Kalahari for three nights. You then fly to Machaba for a two night stay situated on the edge of the Khwai River. Here there are a variety of different activities on offer to keep you entertained. Motswiri Camp then offers excellent walking with experienced guides. The focus here is very much on getting out on foot or even on horse-back, although this is only an option for experienced riders. Three nights here will give you sufficient time to explore the area. The final three nights of the trip are spent in the Okavango Delta at Shinde Camp – an area well known for great lion, leopard, elephant and seasonal buffalo sightings in particular.

This Botswana safari can also easily be combined with a visit to Livingstone in Zambia or Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe to see the Victoria Falls. See our trips to Livingstone or trips to Victoria Falls for examples of the add-on options, and the costs.

The trip is an individual trip, and can be tailor-made and adapted to suit you.
