My Jun 2024 trip
Tanzania between 19 Jun 2024 and 10 Jul 2024
Expert Africa lives up to its name.
Both families have come away with memories that will last a lifetime. We can’t wait to return to Africa.
Thank you, Jessica and the entire team! We would highly recommend Expert Africa.
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
Reassure parents that Tanzania deliver for families. Your competitors felt Kenya would be a better fit and we seriously considered flying post Kili to Kenya."

Forest Chem Chem
"Forest Chem Chem review"
The facilities felt like a true home away from home. Our guide was exceptional, and the cook went above and beyond to accommodate the children's food preferences.
One of the most meaningful experiences was when our children had the chance to sit in a local school, gaining insight into cultural differences that will have a lasting impact.
From the youngest to the eldest, our final night’s surprise dinner under the stars was an unforgettable and unique experience."

We felt completely safe and well looked after - from early morning coffee delivered to our doors to the breathtaking views that surrounded us.
Discreet and minimal human infrastructure allowed us to experience this extraordinary setting perched on the edge of one of the world’s great natural wonders."

Maasai Village Visit
"Maasai Village Visit review"
4 Jul 2024 • Afternoon excursion
Watching the boys take part in tribal dancing was truly unforgettable.
Sitting inside traditional homes - humble in appearance yet rich in meaning - deeply reinforced the importance of family and offered a powerful glimpse into a unique and deeply rooted culture.

Safari in Ngorongoro Crater
"Safari in Ngorongoro Crater review"
5 Jul 2024 • All-day excursion
It felt like witnessing one of the true wonders of the world. Impeccably protected and preserved, the crater allowed us a rare opportunity to experience its diverse environments and extraordinary wildlife.
Spotting a rhino with her calf and flocks of flamingos was unforgettable, but enjoying lunch surrounded by zebras and wildebeest was a moment we’ll never forget.

Mkombe's House Lamai
"Mkombe's House Lamai review"
The children loved having access to a pool and were in fits of laughter chasing monkeys around the grounds. That said, they spent little time in the water, as none of us - young or old - wanted to miss a moment in the jeep. This final leg of our journey even surpassed the crater experience, with unforgettable sightings from leopards to our guide bringing us incredibly close to a cheetah and its fresh kill.
Witnessing the Great Migration firsthand was awe-inspiring. We raced to the water’s edge, always feeling completely safe and secure. Going to sleep to with the lions roaring was soothing. Africa never sleeps but we did from our daily adventures. The team at Mkoma’s House made it extra special, playing with the children and ending our stay with a beautiful celebration ceremony.
They even supported our wish to stay out as long as possible on our final day, giving us one last, memorable encounter with the migration before heading straight to the airport."

Balloon Safari over the Serengeti
"Balloon Safari over the Serengeti review"
8 Jul 2024 • Morning excursion
None of us had ever been in a hot air balloon before - let alone drifting gracefully above the Serengeti, rising and dipping over its breathtaking landscape.
The experience culminated in a champagne breakfast surrounded by nature at its most spectacular animals. It’s hard to imagine anything ever topping this.

Arusha Coffee Lodge
The following day, our families - visiting Africa for the first time, with children aged 6 to 15 - joined us and were made to feel just as warmly received.
The staff went above and beyond to accommodate every need, making it a truly memorable start to our safari adventure."
