Buffalo Safari

Buffalo Safari: In full

This safari spends 3 nights at Kanga Bushcamp in a remote location in Mana Pools National Park before transferring to Hwange National Park by light aircraft and staying 3 nights in Somalisa Camp. This safari allows for an excellent overview of Zimbabwe's two main national parks. Not only is the game viewing excellent, with healthy populations of wild dog, buffalo, elephant, lion, and many other species throughout, but you also get to see the stunning scenery between the two parks. With canoeing available in Mana Pools, and game drives and walking safaris available in both parks, this is a fantastic trip for those travellers who are reasonably fit and adventurous, and in search of close encounters with wildlife.

Days 1-3

3 nights at Kanga Bush Camp (full board & activities) | Mana Pools National Park, Zimbabwe

Kanga Bush Camp sits beside Kanga Pan in a remote region of Mana Pools National ParkIn Harare you’ll be met by your pilot for the light aircraft flight on to Mana Pools, a journey of a about an hour or so. On arrival in Mana you’ll be met by your guide for a short transfer, in an open topped game drive vehicle, to Kanga Camp. This camp is set about 20km south of the riverfront. The remoteness and inaccessibility of this camp gives you a feeling of real exclusivity, allowing you to have Mana Pools' diverse range of habitats to yourself.

Days 4-6

3 nights at Somalisa Camp (full board & activities) | Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe

Somalisa Camp sits in the shade of an acacia woodland....Following your time at Kanga you'll be transferred by your guide, at game drive pace, to your next camp Somalisa. This smart camp sits underneath a grove of acacia trees fronted by an ancient dried up watercourse with a remaining waterhole much favoured by the parks large herds of elephants (although they tend to prefer the cleaner water of the camps swimming pool!). Somalisa is incredibly stylish, and one of the more luxurious properties in the park, but still maintains a classic safari feeling. The main attraction of the camps though is the stunnin wildlife and the top quality guiding, with walking safaris and game-drives led by 'Zim-Pro' guides.

Day 7

After breakfast on your last day you'll transfer to the main entrance of the park, taking in a final game drive along the way. A covered vehicle will meet you here, and transfer you the rest of the way back to Vitoria Falls, from where you'll be able to continue with further holiday arrangements or continue on to your final destination.
