Botswana and 3 other countries between 28 Apr 2016 and 15 May 2016
"All of expert Africa's arrangements went to plan very smoothly. Really enjoyed the trip but think we underestimated the amount of travelling we'd undertaken. Maybe 3 countries was one too many!
Zambia and Botswana in particular were great countries and loved getting to know some of the people we met. Had picked camps with a good chance of lion activity but were not lucky in that regard. Did feel at Vumbura that other jeeps seemed to be having a better experience and that our driver - who was lovely - was low down in the pecking order and perhaps being directed to the quieter areas of the reserve.
Didn't help that for the last 3 or 4 drives we had a community overseer on our trips who didn't speak to us really and it cast a bit of an atmosphere. We actually preferred Machaba which was not what I was expecting! Have passed your brochure to my boss as I can't fault your end of things."

"Great camp - enjoyed the canvas tents and the closeness to wilderness. Guide was experienced - Albert - and did a good job of keeping us engaged on game drives.
Particular mention must go the camp manager Elke and her husband Shaun together with Jake - very skilled at blending different guests together and making this a particularly social experience.
Great TLC when arriving in camp "under the weather". Watching elephants in the river from outside our room - perfect."

"Great camp on an island. Only took a few minutes by boat from where jeeps parked but I understand this can take longer when in full flood.
Naz did a great job guiding and we saw a lot of game - only one lion sighting and one leopard but huge heard of buffalo and plenty of other game. Staff were very welcoming but not as skilled at blending guests as we found elsewhere .Went out on mokoro and boat trip to gain a sense of the delta proper and enjoyed driving through water-covered roads.
Room was of a good standard, nice thermos of hot water for making drinks replenished regularly - outside bath a treat!"

"Best accommodation of the trip. Weather was against us first couple of days which made getting there an adventure. 2 hour delay in a bar down the road (drinks bill covered by Lodge) waiting for a particularly high tide to leave the road. Public areas very pleasant with great views of sea/lagoon.
Snorkelling excellent and trip to community eye-opening and very worthwhile. Primarily beach based stay with a few trips thrown in to break up the day. New couple managing Felipe and Ricardo who were lovely but maybe could have been a bit more pro active offering itineries for the following day - - once asked trips organised efficiently.
Massages on our terrace overlooking the sea - fantastic."
