"A good stopover 30 minutes drive from Maun and we were glad we chose to do this rather than fly straight to our first camp after London-Joburg-Maun.

The chalet was very spacious with a great view over the river and a marvellous red sunset. The owner was very welcoming. Dinner on the terrace was very slow to arrive which was a shame as we were rather tired and keen to get to bed.

The early morning transfer back to Maun airport was good."

"Our favourite camp of the 3 we visited. Such a lovely setting on an island surrounded by water with elephants wandering past the room terrace.

The rooms were charmingly decorated and very comfortable. The staff were outstanding and went out of their way to make guests feel at home.

The chef was very keen to produce excellent food including a full tasting menu one evening.

The guiding was excellent and we saw everything apart from leopard but including following wild dogs. The helicopter transfer was a huge surprise!

We will always have very happy memories of Duba Explorers."

"The suites at Kwara are outstandingly large and luxurious with a lovely view of the lagoon in the distance. We personally didn't feel the need to be in such luxury as you spend so little time in your room and we found the other 2 camps we visited to be more in keeping with their environment.

The guide and the tracker were excellent and we saw a greater numbers of game here than the other 2 camps and followed 12 wild dogs. We were woken at 5.30 am each day in order to have breakfast round the camp fire whereas the other 2 camps allowed you an extra half hour in bed with breakfast taken later on the game drive which we preferred.

The staff were very willing but seemed a little inexperienced. Food was buffet style and good but not up the standard of the other 2 camps. We particularly enjoyed a boat trip on the surrounding waters.

On departure the managers gave us the wrong departure time for our Mack flight which meant that we missed it. However, we admired their honesty in admitting their mistake and they did arrange an alternative flight on a 4 seater which was an adventure in itself."

"We arrived late at Selinda Explorers because we missed our Mack flight from Kwara but the manager and guide were excellent at accommodating the change in plans and laying on an evening game drive from the airstrip to camp.

Selinda Explorers is a charming small tented camp where service is all and it is like stepping back in time and being at one with nature. Once again the guiding was excellent and Parks our guide deserves a special mention.

The food was excellent and the surprise outdoor lunch on our last day in the most beautiful of settings was outstanding."

"A charming and very interesting hotel - like stepping back in time - with a great view of the spray from Victoria Falls.

For some reason we were given a honeymoon suite which was was very comfortable and caused some amusing conversations with the staff whenever we gave our room number! Unfortunately they have had to close the gate in the grounds which leads directly to the Falls but it was still easy to walk there by road.

We enjoyed dinner in the Livingstone Room which is very atmospheric. We are very glad we added this to the end of our safari."
