There was a breakdown in communication between Expert African booking and car hire company - but was resolved. Our Expert Africa team member left which caused lack of continuity.
Our first guesthouse incorrectly thought we were lost on arrival (they had not read earlier email to them) and flagged this with Expert Africa. We received a call from London to check we were ok. Proved we were being looked after. Would use Expert Africa another time.

We normally advise travellers that activities can be booked on arrival at the lodge and this is the first time where this has not been the case due to lack of availability. We are sorry that these travellers were unable to join in the excursion and have noted to book activities at Desert Homestead in advance, if required, to avoid disappointment.
Desert Homestead have agreed that there was a failure in communication between employees, which lead to the absence of anyone to serve an early breakfast for which they are very sorry. They are working to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
