Comfortable place for a night in Windhoek
This is a smart house to stay at before flying out of Windhoek in a quiet residential area. The meals are effectively served in an open plan kitchen/dining area. Breakfast was fine but we didn't feel there was any atmosphere so ate out in Windhoek, at the well known Joes Beerhouse.
The room was quite small but well appointed and very comfortable.
The manager, Eddie, was very attentive and runs the place well.

Excellent but rooms variable
We stayed at Galton House for one night on our way north and one night on the way back. Each time Helen and all the kitchen staff were delightful.
The furnishing was most attractive - modern and clean-looking, and breakfast and dinner were good.
The first time we had a large room with a large bathroom, so we were disappointed on our return to have Room 5, a small room with a poky bathroom, and the bathroom door didn’t close properly.
Galton House review
Easy to find and a good stopover for our first night in Namibia. Helpful staff, good food. We ate in the guest house.
If you wanted to eat in Windhoek, you would need to take a taxi, as it was on the outskirts of the town.
Superb little placr
The guesthouse is very quiet and peaceful. The rooms are delightful, comfy and clean.
The is food is superb here and the staff are very helpful and polite.
Galton House review
Quiet with a luxury radiation.
Very clean tastefully executed room with a spacious bathroom, At the wall beautiful (black and white) pictures of wild animals. The whole B&B gave me a quiet luxury feeling, even around the swimming pool.
The food (breakfast, lunch and diner) is simple but very tastful.
The staff is warm and very helpful, spacially the manager.
It was a pleasure to be there.
It took the ordered taxi for visiting Windhoek more then 1 1/2 hours to arrive. Almost to late to go. But I went and found Windhoek not interesting and dull.
The next morning, waiting for the pickup to the airport, it turned out that my flight was not in the morning but in the afternoon. Because of that I was arriving late insted of early on my next destination.
A good place to stay in Windhoek
Very warm welcome and comfortable accommodation. We didn't go out, so not able to comment on the location.
They were happy to open up the kitchen and make a meal for us even though we were the only diners.
Galton would be proud
Great service, beautiful space, great breakfast, cool attitude & interior design.
My only issue was that it was not walking distance to town like the Hilltop House.

Very comfortable after a long flight
We were welcomed by the team from Galton House and, after sorting out the car hire, we got some rest and then had dinner in the city.
The breakfast was very nice in the morning and we were the only guests, which made for a very nice and private morning meal!
