All the staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel has three restaurants on site, though on our last night two were fully booked but the Sky Lounge was available and worth visiting for a view over the city." See all these reviews: 8n in Namibia
"Weinberg Hotel review"
The Weinberg is a convenient location to start or finish a tour of Namibia, the room was beautifully furnished, large and clean and we were on the ground floor overlooking the courtyard fountain.

The hotel has good accommodations. At night all restaurants are easy to access and good food.
The only problem was upon our arrival day because the hotel for that day had no water. ( problem in the reagion, not Hotel’s fault)" See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia

It's a nice place to arrive at the start of the trip, and to get situated before embarking. There's a couple nice restaurants, one across the street and the other on-site.
The Butcher Block is not actually affiliated with the hotel, so make sure you take some form of payment (we tried to charge to the room and then had to go back to get a credit card, lol). The breakfast was excellent, including the option of eggs benedict!
We had our rental car already, and so just drove into town to tourist on our own. The hotel does try to sell a tour of the city which is rather pricy imo. If you're coming through Expert Africa you're likely an independent enough traveler that you don't need a fully-organized trip.
Overall we really liked the Weinberg. We stayed a different hotel at the end of the trip, just for variety, however prefered the Weinberg" See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia; 1n in South Africa
"Weinberg Hotel review Great first night stop"
The pool seems to be free to hotel guests currently which was a bonus as it was very hot. We enjoyed an excellent dinner at the Butcher's Block which is part of the hotel complex. We enjoyed breakfast outside in the courtyard and there was a very good choice from the cold buffet and hot food made to order. The service was friendly and professional.
We only stayed one night so didn't leave the hotel but location seems reasonably close to the centre of Windhoek." See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia
