Kenya between 31 Jan 2018 and 13 Feb 2018
"This was our first trip with Expert Africa and to Africa.
We probably did not know exactly what to expect. We would do some things differently if we were to return to Kenya. The game drives were amazing and all the guides were terrific.
Also, visiting a village while at Saruni Sambur , a school and the Maa Trust while at Nabisco was terrific. Horse back riding and climbing up to Pride Rock at Borana were unique and fun experiences.
Our last day in Nairobi, with a wonderful guide, was great. We had a lovely lunch and visited the Giraffe Center and the David Sheldrick Elephant Refuge. Meeting our Emoli, the elephant we adopted was truly a highlight."

Saruni Samburu
"What a view!!"

"Saruni Samburu is a unique location. And we had the highly desired room 5. Beautiful.
Everything was great except for the hot weather which made our bedroom and bathroom unbearable during the day. Our guides, Jimmy and Lapoyan were excellent.
The service was wonderful. Two beautiful pools, but not enough shade and not enough chairs.
The food was terrific and the spa staff were great - we both had massages and they were fabulous."

"Borana is fantastic. We had a great room with a wonderful outdoor patio area.
Food was fantastic and we enjoyed a different venue for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We climbed Pride Rock and enjoyed wine and food on top of the rock...and we rode horses with giraffes close by. We had a terrific guide in Peter. The manager, Hunter, was very accommodating."

"A perfect ending"

"This was our third and last camp before returning home. Amazing experience with the game drives.
We really enjoyed our guide Benjamin. We were also able to experience visiting a school and the Maa Trust.
The food and the service were impeccable. The staff were wonderful and accommodated our needs above and beyond our expectations.
Our room/tent was comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed the fact that we were so close to the wildlife."

It was a perfect segway to going on safari. And it was an excellent location right on the Nairobi National Reserve.
Very happy we stayed two nights as we arrived very late on the first day. Even though we arrived very late, Anthony had a lovely dinner waiting for us. Our room was fabulous, located right near the main lodge. Though we had read that the rooms all the way at the top had better views, we feel that those on the lower level, after a long, strenuous flight, had views very similar, and had great views also, and did not require any stair climbing. We really only had one afternoon to enjoy all its features since we were recovering from our long journey to Kenya the day before we arrived. We wish we'd had even more time! The pool was under maintenance so we were not able to experience it on our stay."
