"Our trip to Namibia 2017"
Excellent pre-planning, advice and service from Expert Africa. The web site and literature are very comprehensive and well presented and the reality most certainly didn't disappoint.
Other destinations in Africa have been added to the never diminishing wish list and we would certainly use them again.

The Serian camps are really our type of place with a good focus on wildlife and quality guiding. We could spend ages in such camps.
We had some amazing sightings this year as well, and are again thinking about how soon we can return (probably not next year, but who knows...)." Read full review: 7 nights in Africa; 7 on a Kenya safari
"A dream trip to Africa"
My husband and I do like to be active, so in retrospect 9 days of game drives was too much for us. Our backs were hurting us from inactivity. I, unfortunately, had not realized, that, of course, we wouldn't be doing much walking within our camps, due to the proximity of wildlife. We did do one walking safari, which was great. We had a second opportunity for a walking safari, but this was at Oliver's Camp where the tsetse flies were brutal, so we declined that opportunity.
As well, the drive down to the crater each day in Ngorogoro was not fun. Extremely bumpy and unbelievable dust. I guess in retrospect I should have asked more questions before we chose our camps. I am a "water girl" - we live on a lake and I am used to humidity, but not at all accustomed to extreme dry and dusty conditions. I just felt terrible the whole time I was at the crater.
Also, some days it was a little much to do a game drive upon arriving after a couple of flights. Travel days - in Africa, even though the flights were short, were tedious days as there was always a lot of waiting around. For instance, we would leave the camp at 8:30, perhaps an hour drive to the airport, then the flight wouldn't leave until 11am, etc." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 9 on a Tanzania safari
"My Sep 2017 trip"
It is a shame it is classified as a malaria area because everywhere we went managers told us they did not have mosquitoes. The other wildlife is fantastic and plentiful at this time of year (late September - October).

"Dream birthday trip"
To be able to see animals in their natural habitat was a real privilege and the people who were guiding were so passionate about the country and the animals welfare. I always felt safe and despite the long transfers was ell catered for.
I cannot recommend this trip enough to anyone who wants to experience the bush, or plains and who are solo travellers" Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 11 on a Zimbabwe safari

"Best Safari Ever!"
This was an "Eat, Sleep, Safari" adventure! We woke up at 5:15 for coffee or tea around the campfire. Off to an early morning safari and watch the sunrise. We came back to a full breakfast ready for us. Then we went on a 3 hour safari and returned to a beautiful lunch spread. Given an hour or two in the afternoon to rest, we ventured out for another 3 hour safari, returning to dinner. There were six in our group which made it very comfortable in the jeep so we could easily take lots of pictures.
Spike found so many animals that we would not have seen on our own. The walking safaris were phenomenal ! We were able to get up close to photograph and observe the behavior of many animals.
The staff washed our clothes and had them neatly folded and returned to us in the afternoon. They took care of our tents and prepared the hot water for our showers. The food was delicious! Kelvin is a fantastic chef working very hard behind the scenes! I want to thank Spike, Sean, Lucky, Kelvin, and there is one more member of the staff in which I can not remember his name.
It was the best safari ever!" Read full review: 3 nights in Africa; 3 on a Zimbabwe safari
"September 2017 trip"
The extremely hospitable staff at the camps couldn't do enough for you and the guides' ability to find the most elusive animals was uncanny. It was fascinating to learn from them some of the skills they use to track the animals.
Parks at Selinda Explorers could find the proverbial needle. The accommodation was luxurious and at the same time relaxed and informal. So many memories which will stay with us.
In later comms, these travellers expanded on the above a little, saying:
To say it was an outstanding trip would be an understatement of epic proportions. We were privileged to be in a country of great beauty and outstandingly hospitable, kind people. My only mistake was booking six days instead of sixty, though possibly my bank manager might have had something to say about it if I had. I think what made the trip so special was the almost constant sensory stimulation. The sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the country were a perpetual delight.
To start with the camps, Chitabe and Selinda Explorers. We had no right to expect the standards of accommodation, hospitality, comfort, food and drink that we experienced. Outstanding in every way.
The game drives were great. We saw such an abundance of wildlife we almost didn't know where to look next. We never tired of it - not even the impala which seemed to appear around every corner. Highlights were the wild dogs, which we could have watched all day, the leopards (with cubs), the huge herds of elephant (around fifty at one watering place), lions lying in the shade of the land rover, young male giraffes 'neck-fighting' and the abundant bird life (we liked the Ground Hornbills). The ability of the guides to find the animals was a wonder to behold.
Our main guides were B.B. and Parks. Parks especially - what a lovely bloke - was uncanny. He used a Tawny Eagle to locate a newly established wild dog den and we even saw it swoop down to pick up a piece of meat that the dogs has lost sight of. Just reward. Both guides could find elusive leopards with uncanny precision. We also spent some time with Tank and Oats, who were great as well.
When we got back to camp, every single member of staff was friendly and attentive and not just made our stay memorable, but actually made us feel welcome and at home. Perhaps special mention for Joe and Freman at Selinda. Can I also thank you for arranging the birthday cake for Vonnie - singing 'Happy Birthday' by candlelight in the middle of the bush was a very memorable moment - as well as the kind note you left for us.
I could go on but I think you have probably got the gist by now, so I'll just finish by saying thank you for organising such an unforgettable trip. I would certainly recommend both Expert Africa and yourself should anybody ask me for advice on organising a trip to Africa. In the meantime, keep up the good work and maybe we'll be in touch in the future.

"A long phot trip to Etosha"
I was concerned at the state of many of the park roads which seem to be getting worse. If you have to constantly watch the road surface it makes game viewing more difficult.. Again, there seem to be increasing numbers of noisy large coaches/trucks which have a detrimental effect on the animals. facilities etc.
I would like to see indep. tour operators tackle the park service about this and also get them to improve the management of lodges within the park." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 13 on a Namibia trip
"Couldn't have been better"
I had bought the Bradt guide to Namibia a few months before the trip & was very impressed with the content hence the main reason I chose Expert Africa. It is the best guide book I have read in recent years & would highly recommend it.
The 'Notes to Travellers' provided with the itinerary was great.
Other travellers reviews were also interesting and helpful.
We will certainly use them again.
