Fumba Beach Lodge: picture gallery

Fumba is a pretty and secluded beach lodge on the south-west coast of Zanzibar.
Tucked away behind an enormous baobab tree is the entrance to Fumba.
Head to the bar for a refreshing drink after your journey.
It is well-stocked – and there are always people relaxing around here
The nearby lounge has plenty of comfortable, secluded corners...
Outside, the unusual beach bar is made from an old dhow.
Good food is important at Fumba – with an airy dining room cooled by fans.
You can also have dinner under the palm trees beside the pool...
...and afterwards relax on a sun-lounger beside the infinity pool.
There's a super view of the ocean behind it…
In fact, Fumba beach lodge sits on a low coral cliff
Fumba's beach bar leads right onto the beach
There are no other lodges nearby, so the beach is very quiet and private.
Fumba has a fully licensed PADI diving centre: Blue World…
…which is fully equipped with the high-quality gear for snorkelling and diving.
Paths lead you through manicured gardens to your room.
Fumba has 20 deluxe rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and private terrace.
All four of the luxury suites stand right above the sea and have private roof terraces.
The two baobab suites have stunning outdoor bathrooms…
…and are beautifully furnished.
Looking for a quiet beach lodge with plenty of style? Fumba is a great place for that.
