"A good trip with a few adventures"

I visited Kenya between 10 Oct 2018 and 21 Oct 2018
"Good animal sightings. Good guides working hard to keep us happy.

Rwanda was a nice surprise. Kenya was wonderful.

Saw little of Uganda but we liked what we saw.

Made new friends and enjoyed the contacts with the local people. Most of them were welcoming, happy and very friendly. Then again we found this in most African countries we visited." Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 8 on a Kenya safari

"My Aug 2018 trip"

I visited Kenya between 25 Aug 2018 and 9 Sep 2018
"Thank you for the trip of a lifetime, we will definitely be back.

I would do things differently next time, I think you only need 3 days at the most in each camp and I would have liked a third camp without the beach visit at the end.

Disappointed not to have seen the migration (happened earlier this year). No rhinos and very rare to see cheetah and leopard." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 14 on a Kenya safari

"My Aug 2018 trip"

I visited Kenya between 21 Aug 2018 and 6 Sep 2018
"We are really happy that we booked with Expert Africa. Richard is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I think our first phone call must have been at least an hr long as we discussed every option.

We were really happy with the places he recommend and with the final trip schedule. He gave us good advice about not paying extra to have a freight seat on the planes. We were a little over the max bag weight but we were not asked to pay anything.

We were grateful that he let everywhere know about Sarah's leg injury in advance as it meant all the camps were prepared for us.

We had an amazing holiday and would love to travel with Expert Africa to Kenya again." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 15 on a Kenya safari

"Holiday of a life time"

I visited Kenya between 24 May 2018 and 4 Jun 2018
"We went on this holiday with the intention of seeing wildlife and we were not disappointed. Everything about the trip worked.

On reflection I probably would not have stayed in the Nairobi area, the game drives did not have the same wow factor as Samburu or Masai Mara but that said the Emakoko lodge was wonderful.

From a logistics point of view everything ran smoothly. This was our first trip to Africa and I felt safe and secure during the entire trip.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

When I first viewed the website I found it slightly overwhelming, as the is almost information overload. However Richard was excellent and I would definitely recommend the company to friends." Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 9 on a Kenya safari

"Wonderful trip to Samburu & Coast, May 2018"

I visited Kenya between 11 May 2018 and 24 May 2018
"Our holiday was exactly what we wanted, and we had an amazing time.

Expert Africa's staff are hugely knowledgeable, and clearly wanted to understand our needs in order to make all the right recommendations. The whole process felt collaborative, and was like talking to an experienced traveller rather than a traditional travel agent; we never felt under any sales pressure. Staff were responsive and helpful, including during the trip.

We are already thinking about another trip, and have every intention of using Expert Africa again." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 12 on a Kenya safari

I visited Kenya between 31 Jan 2018 and 13 Feb 2018
"This was our first trip with Expert Africa and to Africa.

We probably did not know exactly what to expect. We would do some things differently if we were to return to Kenya. The game drives were amazing and all the guides were terrific.

Also, visiting a village while at Saruni Sambur , a school and the Maa Trust while at Nabisco was terrific. Horse back riding and climbing up to Pride Rock at Borana were unique and fun experiences.

Our last day in Nairobi, with a wonderful guide, was great. We had a lovely lunch and visited the Giraffe Center and the David Sheldrick Elephant Refuge. Meeting our Emoli, the elephant we adopted was truly a highlight." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 13 on a Kenya safari

"Terrific introduction to Kenya"

I visited Kenya between 17 Jan 2018 and 4 Feb 2018
"We have been to several African countries but this was our first time in Kenya and we chose areas to visit slightly off the usual track: Laikipia, Samburu and Meru.
Each was quite different but within relatively easy reach. We travelled to all three by road, only getting on a bush plane from Meru to Nairobi. Each camp too was quite individual in terms of style and atmosphere.
The tented camp Kicheche in Laikipia was our favourite overall but Saruni Samburu and Elsa's Kopje were both excellent experiences and in spectacular positions. Of the three Elsa's probably had the highest age profile.
We scored a number of firsts such as tiny lion cubs, a successful cheetah hunt and bat-eared foxes mating (in broad daylight!). It was a delight to see the animals unique to the area such as reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and Grevy's zebra. It was also a privilege to attend part of the celebrations of a Samburu wedding.
All in all a terrific trip and an introduction to Kenya that will probably be hard to beat." Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 16 on a Kenya safari

"My Oct 2017 trip"

I visited Kenya between 29 Oct 2017 and 12 Nov 2017
"My trip as a whole was better than I could have hoped for. It was actually James Denny that organised the trip but he is off on his own adventure now. The service I got from him and Richard was excellent. Very helpful in understanding my requirements and organised a wonderful trip. Next time I'm in Africa I will not hesitate to use you again and would highly recommend you to anybody looking to do the same. Thank you for such a memorable experience." I visited Kenya and 1 other country between 13 Oct 2017 and 25 Oct 2017
"Very enjoyable trip combining a safari in two contrasting areas of Kenya (Samburu and Mara Naboisho) with a beach holiday in Zanzibar. it was a particular pleasure that we were not bothered by mosquitoes.

Expert Africa's recommendations and organisation were spot on." Read full review: 12 nights in Africa; 8 on a Kenya safari
