"Coco de Mer Hotel review"

6 nights Arrived 11 Apr 2022
"Lovely hotel with a good location to explore Praslin. We had a superior room which you could walk out from the terrace to the beach area.

Pleased we had booked half board as not really any restaurants within walking distance and we didn't want to drive ourselves at night. The buffet breakfast & dinners we had were all of a good standard with lots of choice.

We ate lunch a few times in the Terrace Bar & Restaurant which was always excellent." See all these reviews: 11n in Seychelles

"Coco de Mer Hotel review"

4 nights Arrived 4 Apr 2022
"Our family stayed 4 nights at Coco De Mer Hotel on half-board basis. We got the 2 superior rooms which is beach front and in the far corner which is great for some privacy. I really enjoyed our stay here in every aspects.

They changed their dinner buffet menu daily that we didn't feel too repetitive (although we may if staying longer). Overall breakfast and dinner are quite good with lots of variety. Except one or two staff, the services of the staff are excellent.

The room is standard size and large enough for my family including our 2 year boy to be very comfortable. We had an issue with air-con one night and they quickly came to fix it for us. The hotel also arranged 2 hour nature trail led by a guide (their staff) every other day starting from the hotel lobby. My wife and I joined this walk and thought it was very informative with a great view on top.

Would love to stay longer as we can do more with relaxing in the hotel area and considering many different activities in and around Praslin." See all these reviews: 8n in Seychelles

"Beach escape at Coco de Mer, Seychelles "

4 nights Arrived 20 Dec 2020
"We loved our four nights here. We'd stayed before and were excited to return -- and this time, they had a new jetty with a pool. Usually I don't swim in a pool when there's a beach a few metres away, especially somewhere like the Seychelles... but this new jetty/pool is a very welcome addition because although the beach is nice (golden sand, warm water), it's not good for swimming (very shallow with soft weed immediately offshore). So we spent lots of time out there... on the deck, in the pool, swimming off the wooden staircase into the sea, snorkelling with the friendly batfish.

Facilities good... more watersports available now and we paddle-boarded and kayaked around the coast. Watersports staff were not so friendly though.

Rooms work v well for families... and they generously allowed us to have our three little kids in one room with us, instead of paying for two rooms. Housekeeping were great.

We were on half-board and it was a fixed menu at dinner. We found that too long (multiple courses) and the food too fussy, especially with kids in tow. Quite gastro, but didn't quite hit the mark. Breakfast was v good though, as was the a la carte lunch.

We planned an excursion (to the little island of La Digue by ferry) in the middle of the stay, which was wonderful and highly recommended. If we hadn't had that trip breaking up the stay, I think we would have wanted a car to explore Praslin. There's not a lot going on, but that might be just what you're looking for!!

Front of house so helpful and welcoming -- special mention to Ash and Alexandre... thank you!" See all these reviews: 4n in Seychelles

"The Coco de Mer Hotel : a holiday highlight "

4 nights Arrived 18 Oct 2019
"This hotel was one of our two top holiday locations. A general grading of excellent sums up our delight with almost everything. The food was a little bland for our tastes but plentiful and with multiple choices for every course. Otherwise nothing could have been bettered. The location was sublime, the rooms outstandingly equipped, the service outstanding and both the available activities and facilities of a high standard. Being able to see Seychelles Black Parrots and Fruit Bats every evening from in front of our room was an added plus." See all these reviews: 17n in Seychelles

"Coco de Mer Hotel"

4 nights Arrived 17 Oct 2018
"We loved this hotel the first time we stayed on the island and were most pleased to stay again in a beach room. Our room had had a recent make over and was of good quality build and looked great.

However the designer must have been a tad short of the practicalities of a "good " room. The wardrobe in the back of the room needed some form of lighting to see what was in them. The bathroom which looked fantastic was far from ideal. The basins were difficult to use (his and hers) and there was no shelf to put things on except under the basins in a puddle of water and then try to fish them out. The toilet door was only supposed to open inwards which blocked access to the WC which one almost has to step over to get in. Getting out one pushed the door the wrong way and then it hit one of the basins before opening fully. It was easier to squeeze through the gap than open the door the correct way. The bath was fantastic but the taps were on a remote tripod arrangement...………...so I could not turn the water off with my foot!

The shower greeted one with a blast of cold water if the cleaner/previous user had put the hand shower facing the door. However a hand shower AND an overhead shower which worked really well made up for most of the design deficiencies.

Yes little things in an otherwise great room." See all these reviews: 10n in Seychelles

"Beautiful view from our room"

4 nights Arrived 3 Jan 2015
"The GM Arturo could not have offered us a warmer welcome… and everything functioned like clockwork. Delicious food; kitchen could not be faulted.

Loved the beach… lapping waves, little lagoons, especially good for small kids. Adults can swim off the jetty to avoid the heavy seaweed in the shore area. Loved the paddle-boarding (thank you Joseph at watersports!)" See all these reviews: 4n in Seychelles

"They do not get better than this hotel!"

6 nights Arrived 19 Feb 2013
"This has to be THE top hotel though I can see that some people might find the rooms a little old fashioned.

The room was large, comfortable, huge bed, nice bath and shower, lots of hot water and since we were on the beach front a great view in the evenings and mornings.

The monsoon was blowing in the right direction for the hotel and therefore no weed, clear water, no waves and great snorkelling.

Food excellent and the choice very good.

The staff were really very friendly and helpful. How nice to have free tea and cakes at 4pm-5pm.

And the biggest surprise was that the hotel appeared so quiet. It was reasonably full though it seemed not so. Just reflects how nice the experience was........relaxing and luxurious." See all these reviews: 10n in Seychelles

"A very relaxing environment"

6 nights Arrived 4 Apr 2011
"1. The quality of the room was excellent and the standard of cleaning was very high.
2. The food was very good. The a la carte menu was good, but perhaps a little lacking in variety. The buiffets were excellent and vey well presented. Breakfasts were very good and the poolside drinks and lunch were good.
3. Service in the restaurant was very good and the provision of equipment (eg snorkelling mask etc.) was appreciated.
4. The only minor complaint was that shampoo and shower gel was not replaced as it was used - we had to ask for more and on one ocassion had to ask twice before it was provided.
5. Staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly.
6. The location was good and the private beach gave a very relaxing feel.
7. Made an interesting contrast to the Sans Souci geusthouse in terms of its beach side location." See all these reviews: 10n in Seychelles
