"Johan and Monika were very informative and friendly and the hippo was a real bonus! The male hippo who uses the Lodge lawns as his personal food source and a means to avoid his unruly family was a great asset - not to bre confused with the camp "pet" however.

Mahango and Bwabwata Parks nearby are very varied, plains animals and flood plain and water species too."

"There had been 1 day of heavy rain and the approach road was quite interesting for a 2 wheel drive.

Big puddles and the new tracks around the puddles had seen some heavy traffic since the rain."

"Spectacular setting and most basics very well covered, it would be improved by including some activities eg maps for walks . Pool well done especially for the location.(on the top of a ridge in the desert!)

A unique setting and the tents and main buildings etc use the setting very well. Knowledgable guides and the emphasis on walks was just right for the location. All the staff wanted to share the place, the environment and any interesting happenings with guests and so would point out animals at the waterhole, talk about the stars, make comment about history or answer any other question with a proper conversation."
