  • These camps close during April and May.
  • The prices shown are per person sharing; call us for single person supplements.
  • Like all our tailor-made safaris in Tanzania, this one is a sample itinerary and easy to adjust to your personal requirements. We will always organise a safari that matches what you want to do.
  • Subject to availability at the camps, you can depart on your chosen itinerary on any day of the year.
  • Jongomero offers walking safaris and fly-camping trips; ask us about these and if any extra costs involved.

Our ideas for beach add-on's

After this safari, if you'd like to head for the beach, then you can easily add on a few days on the mainland at Ras Kutani - which is a sister-camp to these two safari camps. Alternatively, a slightly longer beach trip to one of Tanzania's islands works very well – start by looking at our suggestions for holidays on Zanzibar's beaches, or perhaps a trip to Pemba, or a break to relax and dive in the Mafia Archipelago.

This safari includes

  • All transfers in Africa.
  • The current park fees for your time in Selous (U$88.5 per person per night) and Ruaha (U$35.4 per person per night).
  • Guided safari activities in Selous and Ruaha.
  • Filtered water/tea/coffee drinks are included, other drinks are extra.
  • A comprehensive pack of information covering the places that you'll be visiting, including a copy of the Bradt Travel Guide to Zanzibar, Pemba & Mafia, which includes a chapter on Selous and Ruaha.

This safari excludes

  • International flights to/from Dar es Salaam
  • All drinks, other than filtered water/tea/coffee.
  • Laundry at both camps.
  • Tips and gratuities, which are optional.
