"Unique history that thank goodness most hotels would not have. Had security check oint for entering hotel. A coupleof blocks down the street from the presidential palace in a more residential area. Close to banksand shopping. The prices are a little high for the food and beverage considerig this is Africa. There is a good restaurant a few blocks away called Heaven(same prices) but an alternative for dinner if you are staying 2 or more nights. Heaven is also a boutique hotel." "Since we only stayed for an overnight we didn't have an opportunity to use all their services but everything was fine. Room was a typical hotel/motel room. Very Clean.
The breakfast was fabulous! Everything you could possibly want to eat for breakfast was available!

We did have dinner and lunch as well. Good food. We did sit out under the large canopy near the bar and it was a lovely respite from the city.

"High quality hotel - check in was very easy and efficient, room was comfortable and quiet. The main bar area was a little noisy and difficult to get a meal. Ate at the La Panorama restaurant - meal was excellent but service a little slow. View across Kigali is excellent.

SImba from Primate Safaris was excellent - really went the extra mile to ensure we had a wonderful trip. He made our trip very easy and informative. He was really interesting to talk to regarding the genocide and the subsequent reconciliation. So overall meeting him added significantly to what was intended primarily as a visit to the gorillas.

Simba also kept watch on other guests and ensured that they were looked after. The morning of our second visit to the gorillas two guests had some difficulty and Simba made sure they were looked after even though they were not his responsibility. "Clean, comfortable. The hotel had key card problems. However, we could leave our room and they brought us our key card.

Beautiful dining room on the top of the hotel. Good food. The only drawback was that our room was just above the outdoor restaurant.
