Tarangire Treetops: picture gallery

Tarangire Treetops stands on a hillside, just to the east of Tarangire National Park.
It is tucked away in the natural vegetation of a lightly-wooded slope.
Baobab trees are common in Tarangire, and the main area here is right beside one.
This central area contains a lounge, a dining room, and a shaded pool deck.
Inside you realise that the lodge has been built around another huge baobab tree.
There is a dining area where evening meals and barbecues are served ...
... comfy corners to relax during the day ...
... and a sheltered fire-pit to make sitting around the campfire a warm experience.
Needless to say, the bar is well-stocked.
There is also an outdoor fireplace ...
... with comfy chairs around to enjoy the special atmosphere.
There is a pool on a lower-level deck ...
... with plenty of shaded loungers.
Each room here stands very high on its own stilts ...
... up an outdoor spiral staircase.
It is worth the climb though, as the views from the rooms are amazing.
Inside the bedrooms at Treetops have double or twin size beds.
To one side is the en-suite bathroom...
... with double washbasins and a shower.
Outside each room is a wooden balcony with beautiful views over the park.
Tarangire Treetops also has a small curio shop selling local crafts and jewellery.
The lodge is also closely engaged with the local community and supports local conservation efforts.
