"Latitude 15 review"

2 nights Arrived 4 Oct 2017
"The rooms were a generous size and beautifully furnished and decorated. Unfortunately the hairdryer supplied came with a two prong plug that did not work in the two prong socket in the bathroom. The hotel omit to give you an adapter for the dyer to work in a normal socket. I requested a new dryer as I thought it was faulty, it was only after a different one was given to me with an adapter and it was explained an adapter was needed. Why supply a dryer that does not work in the two pronged socket in the bathroom?

The hotel is wonderfully fitted out with wall art and decorations. However the swimming pool and surrounding areas were very shabby and dirty. Even the swimming pool in the private club area was dirty and didn't look inviting. No one in our party wanted to go in the swimming pools.

We were booked in as full board but when we arrived for lunch we were told our bookimg was only B&B. It took about four different staff to resolve the issue and the situation made us feel concerned not because of the staff, they were trying to resolve the issue it was just a case of having a problem right at the start of our trip that should have been avoided.

The price of wine was astronomical. A R65 bottle of South African Rose cost over $30 and a R77 bottle cost over $40. Of course we have the choice of not drining wine but as a start to a holiday it was nice to share a bottle of wine family. I feel you should warn future travellers about the cost of drinks. You do need to spend a long time waiting for meals to arrive they took ages to come to,the table." See all these reviews: 10n in Zambia

"Comfortable Overnight Stay"

1 night Arrived 7 Sep 2017
"We used Latitude 15 purely as a catch up on sleep after an overnight flight so that we were fresh to start our safari itineray the next morning.

The hotel was a business hotel, the rooms were comfortable and the restaurant evening meal which was not included in the price was very good.

The breakfast was basic buffet and cooked breakfast was on offer to order." See all these reviews: 10n in Zambia

"Excellent base in Lusaka"

1 night Arrived 30 Aug 2017
"We stayed at Latitude 15 three times on this holiday - including a final afternoon stopover before the flight home. It is a very well designed hotel with comfortable bedrooms and delightful public areas.

The staff were extremely helpful especially the gentleman on our last stay who spent a lot of time finding us the bathrobes from our previous bedrooms that we wanted to buy as a souvenir. The meals were excellent - dinner on 2 nights and breakfasts.

The hotel is not near the centre of Lusaka but is convenient for airport transfers and for getting out of the city without too much traffic." See all these reviews: 15n in Zambia

"Friday night at Latitude 15"

1 night Arrived 9 Sep 2016
"Latitude 15 is a smallish (18 rooms) boutique hotel that makes an interesting alternative to the Radisson Blu. The journey from the airport took rather longer (about 40 minutes) through contrasting parts of Lusaka. The public areas of the hotel were very busy, perhaps because it was a Friday evening, with the pool, bar, and restaurant being extremely noisy. There was also a lot of noise from nearby construction sites.

Clearly many non-residents had come for dinner, with the consequence that the service in the restaurant was very slow, although the food was good. In contrast, we saw only a handful of other guests at breakfast the next morning." See all these reviews: 13n in Zambia
