The Tigerfish Safari begins with 1 night at Ruckomechi Camp, which provides the base for the trip. It’s an upmarket camp, which overlooks the Zambezi River and the escarpment on the opposite side in Zambia. The camp sits just outside of the national park, on its own concession, and so benefits from not just fantastic game viewing but also being able to drive at night, after dark with a spotlight. Accommodation takes the shape of en-suite tented chalets all overlooking the mighty Zambezi River as it passes by on its long journey towards the Indian Ocean. After this first night the trip then heads for 3 nights on a Canoe Trail down a beautiful stretch of the Zambezi. In the evening a mobile camp will be setup on the river bank and accommodation is in comfortable en-suite tents. This is a real adventure, the number of hippo and sizeable crocodiles along this stretch of river mean it's not for the faint of heart. All of the trips are accompanied by expert guides with vast amounts of experience on the river. At the end of the canoe trip guests head back for another 2 nights at Ruckomechi Camp. This safari includes transfers to and from Harare, both interesting flights in their own right, offering you a chance to see a large swathe of the country from the air.
