"Okavango Season 9"

I visited Botswana between 21 Sep 2014 and 5 Oct 2014
"Our 9th trip to the Okavango and twelfth to Africa with Expert Africa. Many thousands of air miles and almost as many nights in safari lodges and never a foot wrong from this most excellent company. Thank you and for this trip a special thanks to Megan - again.

We had another wonderful holiday and our only concern was our stay at Tubu Tree. We knew it might no longer be to our liking but after two fantastic previous stays we simply had to try it again. Compared to the old small formula the new bigger camp does not really work for us.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

It is clear things are changing in the Okavango Delta.

Some examples are camps increasing the number of rooms, the distribution of general game and weed clogging channels and lagoons. There always were changes but recently they appear to be having more impact on the differences between camps and seasons. If the changes continue it will be more important than ever to bring them to the attention of clients when planning holidays." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 9 on a Botswana safari

"Wonderful wildlife but exhausting"

I visited Zambia between 19 Sep 2014 and 5 Oct 2014
"Journey from Heathrow to Lower Zambezi took too long - three flights in one go is too many - and we arrived exhausted which did affect our first few days.

Once we had recovered we had a great trip." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 15 on a Zambia safari

"Five weeks in Zambia"

I visited Zambia between 17 Sep 2014 and 23 Oct 2014
"A wonderful trip and I long to return.

The wildlife and birds were incredible most especially at South Luangwa. We thoroughly enjoyed the contrasts between the three national parks and in the case of Kafue the contrasts between Kaingu, Musekese and Busanga Plains. Victoria Falls is not to be missed on any trip to Zambia.

We travelled independently for part of our trip on coaches, local minibuses and taxis. I would like to finish with a tribute to the Zambian people. Everywhere we went the warmth and friendliness of these gentle people shone through. As I said earlier I long to return.

"My Sep 2014 trip"

I visited Zimbabwe between 17 Sep 2014 and 4 Oct 2014
"A fascinating experience, very well organised. we not only experienced high quality game drives but also much more of Zimbabwe as well as meeting a very interesting variety of people both local Zimbabwean and from further afield.

We did feel that our requests had been noted and passed on including our celebratory reason for the trip.

There is no separate subheading for transfers and this was an important aspect of our tour. All drivers were efficient, courteous and friendly with the one exception from NJ to Harare airport as already mentioned." Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 13 on a Zimbabwe safari

"Scenery as much as wildlife in Namibia"

I visited Namibia between 17 Sep 2014 and 3 Oct 2014
"Namibia is not the country to go to for lashings of big game. If you want that, it's Botswana, then perhaps Tanzania and then Zambia. Namibia is a destination where the scenery plays as much a part of the experience as the game. Accordingly, if you're full-on animal spotters like us, the country can disappoint a little.

Having said that, there is plenty of fun to be had, the accommodations are delightful, the light aircraft trips are spectacular, the scenery is indeed amazing - and, of course, there are the unforgettable black rhino. We did not self-drive, and met many people who were finding that experience fairly challenging (but others we met were loving it). All in all, we enjoyed the visit, but probably would have wanted to speed it up here and there, and maybe cut down some of the 2 night stays where one had done everything within 24 hours.

Not sure either about Etosha - some marvellous moments, but not up there for us with the truly great African game parks.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

1. People can do Erongo fully in one night if they have a late afternoon flight home from Windhoek.
2. On private safaris, issue guests with a voucher making it very clear what is included and what is not (eg local beverages)
3. Seriously consider whether Kulala Desert Lodge is suitable
4. Wolwedans and Sossuvlei did not merit 4 nights - could this be done in for speedy types like us?
5. Clarify that Erongo and Damaraland scenery are actually really quite similar - we had expected Erongo to be a sort of green and pleasant land!" Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 14 on a Namibia trip

"A wonderful trip"

I visited Botswana and 1 other country between 16 Sep 2014 and 1 Oct 2014
"The trip was one of the best holidays I have ever been on. The game was exceptional and the camps very comfortable. The other guests were mainly from the USA and a wider mixture would have been interesting but I imagine it is the cost which deters people. I felt it was well worth the money as I have many wonderful memories.

It can not have been easy for Chloe to coordinate this trip for us as I was in France and the UK and my travel companion was in the USA.

Expert Africa - and Chloe - were very helpful in sorting it all out for us and helped us make good choices. Thank you." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 11 on a Botswana safari
