In comparison, the general level of service isn't as good as Robin Pope's, but the cakes are better!

"We had a wonderful trip to Zambia. The wildlife was amazing and we were glad to have the recommendation of 2 Shenton camps plus Mondoro as they complemented each other very well.

Everything went to plan and we will certainly choose Expert Africa again.

Some slightly more detailed advice on photography would be useful. For example on the Shenton web site (not Expert Africa) the emphasis is on top of the range cameras with big lenses. Yes some people have this but they are very expensive. We purchased a 55-300mm telephoto lens which proved adequate for all but the photographing of birds as we got pretty close to most animals. "This was our second visit to Namibia with Expert Africa.

It was a well-planned itinerary and we found that although the distances looked vast on the map, they were feasible. A fascinating trip.

"This was our second trip to Namibia with Expert Africa. After booking a standard itinerary last year, we developed a tailor made itinerary this year by researching lodges/locations on this website and with Gwynneth's support. We initially had difficulty getting the accommodation that we wanted on some nights. Gwynneth was extremely persistent in following up on resorts where we were waitlisted, so that in the end we managed to stay at our preferred choice for all but one location.

We thoroughly enjoyed this holiday and pretty much all aspects met or exceeded our expectations. We would have no hesitation recommending Expert Africa to anyone else considering travelling to Namibia.

"We enjoyed our trip immensely, the safari was the highlight, but the beach lodge on Zanzibar was a wonderful oasis and place to recharge and relax.

"This was one of our best African holidays.

Careful planning (thanks to Liz) meant we got exactly the kind of camps and experiences we prefer. Most of the time we had a guide to ourselves - always a bonus!

It is hard to think that we can better this - but I am sure we will try. I am reliving our wonderful holiday completing this feedback

"Trip exceeded expectations which were high anyway. All arrangements worked. Accommodation was excellent.

We had some tyre issues early on which caused us some worry but people at lodges were very helpful and we were soon able to get on with enjoying our holiday.

We had to cancel this holiday last year at short notice and Chris McIntyre was very understanding and supportive especially with insurers. Thanks again to Chris and Sabina for their help and understanding.
