"After spending a week in Botswana on safaris, we flew to Jo'burg for an overnight, before proceeding on to Malawi the next day.
City Lodge was convenient (right in the airport), the rooms were clean and modern, the food in the restaurant was great (especially the morning brunch).

"We were transiting Jo-burg between Namibia and the US, and this hotel was perfect for an overnight stay.
It's very conveniently located on the airport premises, although a somewhat long walk through the parking garage, and not very well sign posted. Breakfast was included, with plenty of food choices. Room was clean, wi-fi worked, TV worked, all was fine. It's good value for a convenient airport hotel.

"The City Lodge was easily accessible from the terminal although improved signage on the location would have made the stroll easier.
The room was very clean and functional. Although we only stayed one evening we would have been very comfortable remaining longer.

"When we arrived the City Lodge front desk, the receptionist told us that we did not have a reservation. Not a good start. She did not appear to be concerned and told us there were no rooms available.
Some 5-10 minutes later, the reservation was miraculously found... after talking to the manager! Its an ok place to spend a night if your in transit and need to spend a night at the airport.

"This is a modern hotel in the airport which you can walk to after collecting your baggage.
It is a big airport and a longish walk but we had clear instructions how to find the hotel. You leave your baggage trolly at a lift which takes you to the reception of the hotel. The rooms, breakfast, etc. were up to the standard to be expected in an international airport hotel.
