"Return to Zambia 2024"

I visited Zambia between 21 Jul 2024 and 5 Aug 2024
"We very much enjoyed our second trip to the Luangwa Valley and saw the leopard that had eluded us last time.

If you want a more active safari (ie walking) that looks at the large animals and the little insects, with knowledgeable guides and relatively little chance of seeing other people, we would strongly recommended Remote Africa Safaris." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 13 on a Zambia safari

"Our June 2024 trip to LZ and SL"

I visited Zambia between 19 Jun 2024 and 3 Jul 2024
"Amanda was fantastic to work with over the many months leading up to the trip, always quick to respond, very patient to answer my many questions, price the different options, and share her experiences/point of view.

This was a special trip to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and she delivered on all counts - we were able to get the chalets of our choice, were treated to a couple of romantic private dinners at Old Mondoro and Tafika, and had amazing guides at all our camps.

A trip we will hold close to our hearts forever!" Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 11 on a Zambia safari

"My Jun 2024 trip"

I visited Zambia between 16 Jun 2024 and 27 Jun 2024
"This was our first experience of Zambia, having been to South Africa, Namibia and Botswana in the past, and we were very impressed. The Lower Zambezi is a wonderful national park and the Chiawa and Old Mondoro camps combined really well. Both camps were excellent and the wildlife viewing and bird life exceptional. Canoeing trips at both camps were a real highlight, as was the Starbed experience at Chiawa. We hope to return in the near future.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service: Can’t think of anything - you are doing an excellent job and we will continue to use Expert Africa going forward." Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 9 on a Zambia safari

"My Jun 2024 trip"

I visited Zambia between 13 Jun 2024 and 28 Jun 2024
"I really enjoyed going on Safari in Zambia for the first time after many safaris in other parts of Africa.

Very friendly and relaxed experience, less commercial and crowded than Tanzania and Kenya.

Visited the Lower Zambezi and South and North Luangwa parks and especially loved North Luangwa which is still an incredibly unspoiled and wild place. A real wilderness experience !

I loved the abillity to do long walking safaris mixed with more traditional game drives and boat/canoe safaris.

Exceptional guiding and overall great game viewing with the highlight being 3 consecutive days of watching a pack of 17 wild dogs hunting/killing buffalo, waterbuck and impala." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 13 on a Zambia safari

"My Jun 2024 trip"

I visited Zimbabwe and 4 other countries between 8 Jun 2024 and 29 Jun 2024
"Overall the trip was great and very organized. Maruska was great to deal with, really listened to us and gave good suggestions. I liked the itinerary she sent us shortly before we left that gave lots of details about exactly what was happening. There were a few glitches during the trip (canceled flight, driver showed up late) and we had to reach out to Expert Africa on an emergency basis and they were very responsive.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
I would not return to the lodges that we stayed in in Zimbabwe, we didn't have a great experience there. There was a mix up with Khulu Bush Camp and our departure time was moved back and we were never told, that ended up being a very long day and we would have preferred to fly. Two of our travel days were very long and we never got to eat lunch, it was not clear from the itinerary how long they would be. Our Mack Air flights ended up having multiple stops that we weren't aware of, it would have been nice to have more information about those flights." "My May 2024 trip"

I visited Zambia between 26 May 2024 and 14 Jun 2024
"Once again an expertly crafted journey by Expert Africa.

It was very easy to communicate with Maruska, I lost count of the many emails back and forth.

Just before final payment was due our first camp communicated rather vaguely about a change of operations there. Maruska and Chris put in a lot of effort to find out what exactly was going on and how if would affect are stay.

Working with a company that has its feet on the ground in Africa and knows the operators personally was really an advantage here. Eventually we had to change camps because of the situation but that was handled very swiftly." Read full review: 19 nights in Africa; 16 on a Zambia safari

"My Oct 2023 trip"

I visited Zambia between 27 Oct 2023 and 9 Nov 2023
"Excellent combination of camps for our first trip to Zambia . The South Luangwa NP first - The two Shenton Safaris camps an excellent combination.

Then to Lower Zambezi NP . Again the combination of main camp and bush camp run by same family worked very well .

The heat was pretty challenging at times. Temperatures in high 30’s - early 40’s most of the trip. We were well advised about this of course but it’s def worth mentioning. The only way to cool down a little is to wrap a wet a kikoy around you at night 👍🏻😊" Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 13 on a Zambia safari

"Our Oct 2023 trip"

I visited Zambia between 17 Oct 2023 and 8 Nov 2023
"Absolutely loved each park.

Would not recommend Zambia to first time safari goers as game viewing can be a little slow. However that gave our guides the opportunity to tell us about other things giving a more rounded experience" Read full review: 22 nights in Africa; 20 on a Zambia safari
