"Linyanti Expeditions review"

4 nights Arrived 11 Sep 2024
"From the moment we arrived at the Linyanti airstrip this location exceeded our expectations, delivering the first of many highlights in the form of an unexpected, 15 minute helicopter transfer to the Expeditions camp.

On arrival we were welcomed by the Obie and her staff singing a song of welcome before sitting down to a lovely buffet lunch. The food throughout our stay was excellent and varied and the atmosphere in camp was very relaxed and friendly. The facilities at this camp were less luxurious than at our previous one but provided an authentic, bush experience which included sleeping in the gazebo style, star suite extension to our tent on 3 of the 4 nights we were here. As we were not looking for a spa experience in the bush this was right up our street!

The abundance of wildlife here was astonishing. It seemed like the lions had an all you can eat buffet every day! There was so much prey about that they would abandon their meal without finishing and move on to the next. The result was that there were a large number of partially eaten carcasses throughout the area, which we would often smell before seeing! We were lucky enough to see a large male lion and 2 lionesses hunt successfully (two separate hunts), any number of elephants and numerous very small babies and, on one very lucky occasion came across a cheetah (which transit through the area) who watched a lioness pass close by.

As experienced safari goers, we were also privileged to see 2 new types of cat - a serval and a civet." See all these reviews: 8n in Botswana

"Linyanti Expeditions review"

3 nights Arrived 24 Jul 2023
"Great location of the camp. Comfortable tents. Perfect service and great food. People were lovely.

Our guide was very experienced, knew the area very well, and was quite ambitious to show us as many lions as possible (maybe somewhat too ambitious on his lion quest). Overall, we had many sights of elephants, buffalos, antelopes, waterbucks, zebras, giraffes, and 5 lionesses on the hunt.

Very insightful walking safari." See all these reviews: 7n in Botswana

"Linyanti Expeditions review"

4 nights Arrived 18 Oct 2022
"We were very much looking forward to staying at Expeditions. It was this trip's last camp and came highly recommended. Being fans of African Bush Camps we had some expectations.

These were all met and surpassed. Max was probably the best guide we ever had. There seemed to be no limit to his knowledge and skills. It really was a privilege joining him on drives and a walk.

Again, we had the camp to ourselves for a few days and the host, chefs and other staff members ensured we had the best time. The one thing we both experienced was a feeling of authenticity, both in the people and the setting. What you see is what you get and it is wonderful. It's very much comparable to Footsteps across the Delta in its authenticity.

Expeditions is a gem of a camp in stunning setting with wonderful people running it.

The sentence we were greeted with ("welcome home") hit the mark. Nothing more to add." See all these reviews: 11n in Botswana
