It could not have been more convenient to Wilson Airport, with less than 2 minute drive. We easily could have walked, but with luggage and two kids it was nice to have a car take us the short distance. On arrival, staff was expecting us, and we were promptly checked in and escorted to our room. There appeared to be a lively night scene in the lobby bar with a decent size crowd and music playing. The rooms were unaffected by the noise and we slept soundly.
We sat outside on the patio lounge for breakfast and watched the planes from Wilson take off and land, and the kids played on the outside play set.
We would use them again if we needed to." See all these reviews: 12n in Kenya
"Aero Club of East Africa review"
We had stepped back in time - rooms (new wing) were large, clean. Bathrooms functioned with adequate hot water.
The bar served cold beers and stories from pilots and NGO workers. Staff were more than helpful.
Breakfast was a traditional English fry up and had a lovely view of planes landing and taking off.
This HAS to be the place for you to stay if you have an early morning flight from Wilson - it saves you hours being stuck in traffic.
If you are looking for 5* this is not for you - but if you want to know how Africa felt in the 1950's this is the place to stay.
We had no worries about security as the Aero Club is set within the Wilson Airport security fencing." See all these reviews: 5n in Kenya
"Aero Club of East Africa review"
Arriving late in the evening, the security was questionable as the security guard seemed to be dozing on the front porch of the main office.
Although I had requested that a cold plate be prepared for our late arrival, nothing was there for us and no one seemed to know anything about it." See all these reviews: 13n in Kenya; 4n in Rwanda

Comfortable for an overnight stay though the bathroom was a bit tired and very handy for the flight up to Nanyuki the next morning.
Friendly staff and free wifi in the club area" See all these reviews: 5n in Kenya

Clean and comfortable rooms and a fun bar to grab a drink in before bed. Perfectly safe for a solo traveler. Very much recommend especially if catching an early flight out of Wilson Airport to begin your fly in safari." See all these reviews: 5n in Kenya
