"- we had an amazing time

- saw lots of animals and wild life - safari, whales, penguins

- we had a lot of weather too - fire in Cape Town, snow just outside Cape Town, fog and rain in Kwandwe & Plett, stromy winds in Hermanus, but we also had some sunny days

- we like to book with specialist companies, travel agents that are specialist in a region or country

- we very much enjoyed our face to face meeting with Tracy and she put a very nice trip together

"We had a perfect holiday.

The hotels were all very good, the people are lovely and so pleasant. Getting around was very easy.

We absolutely loved South Africa, there is so much to see and do. Cage diving with the sharks, whale watching and the safari where fun.

"Our trip was very enjoyable, the weather was superb. February is cleary a good time to go. It's worth looking at the lodge's seasonal pricing, as we found our most expensive lodge (Kwandwe Great Fish River) had reduced prices from 1 March.

We found when we arrived that it wasn't possible to book a winery lunch with only a few days notice - most were booked a month or so in advance.

Our peronal highlights were Game watching at Kwandwe and the Addo Elephant park, together with the coastal scenery at places like the Cape of Good Hope, Robberg Peninsula, Nature's Valley and Storm River Mouth." Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 18 on a South Africa trip

You can't change a winning formula - you know exactly what you are doing. Trustworthy comes to mind. As soon as we decided to return to Namibia and S. Africa we contacted Tracy who had helped us the first time.

"Once again, Tracy came up trumps! We had been spoiled on our previous trip, to Zambia and Namibia, and weren't expecting to be quite so blown away this time - but we were, thanks to the sheer variety of the package that Tracy put together for us. From our safari experience at Kwandwe, to the opulence of the Vineyard Hotel in Cape Town, we were stunned by the quality of accommodation and service we encountered throughout our trip. "This was a special trip and it surpassed expectations. It was full on, as so much to see and do .Thoroughly enjoyed all four locations we went to . They were all very different but each was great in its own way with the highlight being the safari.

We also did our homework on restaurants before we went so had some truly excellent meals at places such as the Pot Luck Club and Foxcroft in Cape Town , La Petite Ferme in the winelanda and the Olive Tree in Knysna These were all booked in advance

Also booked a really enjoyable wine tour around some of the lesser known estates.

As you will have seen Oude Werf was a bit of a disappointment especially when compared to the other establishments we visited but Stellenbosch itself was really chilled and had a great lunch there as well.

All in all the holiday was superb and many thanks to Tracy for being so helpful in making the arrangements.

Greatly valued the ability to chat things through rather than simply relying on email. Perhaps some additional info about parking availability at the hotels woyld be useful-there were no problems but when arrivibg at a new destination worth knowing in advance what to expect eg at Oude Werf you had to find a place to stop near the hotel or drive to the gates so they could then do the valet parking. At Phantom Lodge you leave your car at their secure outdoor car park at the bottom and then are driven up and down between the lodge and your car."
