Great location for the falls

Bit of a culture shock staying here after the bush camps!

A large hotel, with very good facilities. Great location for viewing the falls as they were only 5 minutes easy walk away. The staff at the activities centre were helpful, although we think it would have been better to pre book some of the activities as many were fully booked for the whole time we were there, we did however manage to go rafting & on an elephant ride.

The nocturnal noises were some what different to the bush, the hippo and hyena calls were replaced with the strains of pop music!

The food was very good with plenty of choice, room service was also a good value option if you were not so hungry. We ate at Squires restaurant one evening which was also a very good meal. Bottled water was very expensive here, we found a bottle of "sprite" was half the price of water!

Large hotel but comfortable

A large hotel with a mixture of clients from businessmen, south African 'weekenders' and tourits from many different countries.

Clearly different from the lodges previously visited or perhaps lodges upstream.

Neverthless made a change and I think I would do the same again.

one night at Victoria Falls

The whole place made me laugh, from the "Zulus" who greeted us, to the colourful paintings, the metal warthogs and the real zebras and monkeys running around. Wonderful food.

Vic Falls

I think anywhere would be a difficult act to follow after the bush so while the hotel was fine it felt very busy and noisy after the previous week.

Quite odd to bump into semi tame zebra around the hotel grounds after the previous week too!

Enjoyed seeing the Falls but be aware for a good view you need to traverse the border to Zimbabwe. Cost $55 per person for Visas and the customs formalities and hassle of street sellers are best avoided by having a guided tour another $55 per person.

A ideal hotel

This was an ideal hotel for a short trip to the falls. The location was excellent.

Food and service very good, although rooms a bit tired.

On to Zambia - Zambezi Sun

A much larger resort hotel - popuar with package tours allowing visits to Falls and mutiple activities - rafting, shooting, golf etc.
FAntastic location, very comfortable, helpful staff

Restaurant generally good although first lunch very poor service and 2 out of 3 itams not available ( a burger and a pizza).
Food pricey.

Great having activity centre on site enabling activities to be booked easily.

Disney on the Zambezi

It was a bit of a shock to the system arriving here after being in the bush. It was obviously much more commercialised. But the hotel was fine and we enjoyed visiting Vic Falls and did a microlight trip.

We can also reccomend afternoon tea at the Royal Livingstone- yum! The views were spectacular.

Nice place to stay for a couple of days.

This hotel is fine, though in need of a lick of paint in some places. Good location for visiting the falls themselves, but without the "class" and setting of the Royal Livingstone.

So easy to visit the Falls again and again.

Great location, less than five mins walk to the Falls.

Swimming pool and grounds lovely.R esturant expensive, Sguires next door better value, although pool snacks in the day good value.

Activity centre attached to hotel helpful in arranging taxi into Livingstone town.Service very laid back, everything in Zambian time!
