Amazing camp and safari
An amazing camp and a superb wildlife experience.
Our guide Sefe was first class.
Food worthy of a Michelin star. The camp manager, Will, was charming, as were all the staff with whom we came in contact.
We particularly loved the lunch by water near the camp, complete with elephants passing by.
Excellent Stay at Little Mombo
The camp was brand new (recently rebuilt).
It was beautifully done and the staff were excellent in all areas.
wild life paradise at Little Mombo
As we were the only guests at Little Mombo it was a little bit over the top having the staff waiting on us alone but we did enjoy it. It felt more like a hotel than a lodge - it was nice meeting the guests from the other Mombo camp on the superb picnic lunch laid on for us as a surprise and the last night bar b que - again felt a bit like a resort entertainment but was enjoyable.
The rampaging elephant at breakfast was an interesting experience! Our guide was the best guide we had all holiday - we did see all the wildlife and more - he was superb. loved all the tracking etc.
Unfortunately Ian was ill on the last day following the bar-b-que night so we were unable to go out on the drive - in fact it took him a good 5 days to recover!
Little Mombo review
The top of the top.
Staff so friendly, kind and efficient, making us feel like home.
We were lucky to have the place for ourselves!
The best camp ever, the best hotel of the world for sure on many levels !!!!
Food: Gorgeous + inventive : a Super ++++ to the chef
These guests took a scenic helicopter flight from Little Mombo and this is what they said about it:
Amazing views!
The guide was also very informative and complementary to the game guides.
Little Mombo review
It seemed that there was perhaps not quite as much game around as in previous visits to Mombo, but it still did not disappoint. Less for Mombo is still more than in many places. As usual Mombo delivered things we had not seen anywhere else. We saw 4 rhinos runing through the bush, a wild dog living with the jackals, hyenas suckling young and the icing on the cake was seeing Pels Fishing owls actually in camp. As usual there were a lot of lions in the area. Excellent guiding by Sefo.
It is disappointing that this camp now has separate tables for meals as one of the things we really enjoy about camp life is being able to sit with people from all over the world to share views and travellers' tales.

We cannot fault this camp. The food was superb and so was our hostess Martha.
