Amazing.....

Porini Mara was my second of my Porini camps as just amazing and life changing as Porini Aboslelle.

Run my mara people, who were and are all just fantastic, knowledgable, funny and kind. They don't quite beat the awe of the fantastic wildlife that I was treated to but they certainly add too it and help make it an unforgettable adventure.

Only one thing I would have liked to have done and that was stop on the high street on way too the mara.

Porini Mara Camp review

Extraordinarily wonderful experience. Thanks to everyone.

The staff were really wonderful. We would especially like to thank everyone for the incredible singing and dancing, for our wedding anniversary. I have rarely been as moved by any such ceremony. Amazing!

We will certainly return, and would whole heartedly recommend this camp to anyone.

Porini Mara Camp review

We saw half a dozen new birds just around our tent within an hour of arriving at Mara camp. And we enjoyed having a view.

It's hard to remember what we saw where but my impression is that we saw lions and cheetah more quickly/ readily in the Mara Reserve rather than the Conservancy. Having said that, when we went for a walk with the guides we came across a lion just near the camp and had to retreat. There were certainly more vehicles in the Mara but perhaps because of the time of year, only ever one or two at once.

Once again the staff, food and service was really good.

We really liked the principles on which these camps were based and the collaboration with the Masai. So although the camps were very comfortable, and by far the most sophisticated camping I have ever done, they weren't all-white linen and plush. For instance, the showers worked by telling staff when you wanted one and they filled the bucket and hoisted it high on a pulley which then came through into a shower box and proper shower head; and you had to be frugal with the water flow.
