"Macushla House"

1 night Arrived 16 Feb 2013
"We only stayed here overnight on the way out and had a day room on the way back but Macushla had a lovely feel about it and the staff could not have been nicer.

The food was good and freshly cooked to order. The pool looked very inviting." See all these reviews: 9n in Kenya

"Macushla house not ideal for a transit stay"

1 night Arrived 9 Sep 2011
"Too far from airport from an overnight stay bearing in mind we were in Kenya [from landing to take off ] for less than 12 hours and at hotel for less than 7 hours

In addition there was confusion over whether I had to pay for the transfer to the hotel and who needed to book and pay for the return transfer. There was no advice on what time to have the transfer for in the morning.

The hotel seemed good and other guests rated it. Staff were friendly." See all these reviews: 10n in Rwanda; 5n in Tanzania; 2n in Zanzibar; 1n in Kenya

"Macushla House"

1 night Arrived 1 Oct 2010
"We needed a room overnight in transit.
It took us over an hour to get to it through
traffic on Friday night which felt far too
long after two flights . They are clearly well
organised for people in transit and gave us
an early breakfast but we never saw it in the
light and would have been better much nearer
the airport." See all these reviews: 13n in Tanzania; 1n in Kenya

"Relaxing spot for an overnight layover"

1 night Arrived 20 Jun 2010
"Machushla House was a lovely respite after a long day of traveling.

Although it is not located in the immediate vicinity of the airport, it was not a very long drive to get there. Although I arrived fairly late at night, the kitchen staff was still able to make a snack for me.

The room was very comfortable and had a lot of character. The grounds were very nice as well." See all these reviews: 8n in Tanzania; 5n in Rwanda; 1n in Kenya

"Macuashla house was a great place to relax"

1 night Arrived 31 Aug 2009
"A great place to relax after our long journey. It was very quiet and calm after previous experiences of staying in the middle of Nairobi.

Shame we didn't have more of a chance to enjoy it. Would definitely stay there again. Great breakfast before we set off too!" See all these reviews: 6n in Rwanda; 1n in Kenya

"Comfortable stay"

1 night Arrived 24 Jul 2009
"Comfortable over-night stay here, between flying in from London and flying out to Kigali.
Location graded relatively poorly as a hotel closer to the airport would have been more convenient." See all these reviews: 6n in Rwanda; 4n in Zanzibar; 1n in Kenya; 1n in Tanzania

"Macushla house overnight"

1 night Arrived 21 Jul 2009
"The only glitch in our entire holiday was the taxi driver not being at the airport when we arrived in Nairobi. The tourist enquiries at the airport phoned Macushla House to sort it out for us. We think that he was around somewhere but not at arrivals holding up a sign for us!

This was just an overnight stop for us, we arrived at 10pm and left after breakfast the next morning. The staff were helpful, staying around to serve us a beer from the bar even though everyone else had gone to bed.

The room was comfortable with mosquito nets and a hot water bottle. The hot water tap on the bath didn't work but we didn't discover it till the morning. Breakfast was fine." See all these reviews: 10n in Tanzania; 5n in Zanzibar; 1n in Kenya
