Acorn House is a lovely old house, built in 1904, situated at the foot of Table Mountain in the Cape Town suburb of Oranjezicht. It is over 100 years old and is graded as a National Monument by the SA Monuments Council. Its location is very conveniently close to many restaurants and cafes in nearby trendy Kloof Street. The city centre is only a short distance away and the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront only 10 minutes by car.
Our view of Acorn House
We liked Acorn House. It is simply furnished but very comfortable and the staff are very friendly. For an affordable option within easy reach of the city and the Waterfront, Acorn House is a delightful guesthouse to spend a few days.
