Honeyguide Fly-in Safari

With a range of luxurious accommodation, this fly-in safari combines relaxation and indulgence with traditional safari pursuits in some of northern Tanzania’s most notable safari destinations.

Honeyguide Fly-in Safari: Summary

Honeyguide Safari in a nutshell

Suited to those seeking relaxation and indulgence as well as traditional safari pursuits, this fly-in safari offers contrasting yet luxurious accommodation and swift access to many of northern Tanzania’s most notable safari destinations.

The trip starts amidst the manicured lawns of Arusha Coffee Lodge, a comfortable, relaxed base just outside the bustling town of Arusha.

After a night’s rest, you'll move to Tarangire Treetops within the Radilen Wildlife Management Area: a lovely setting with impressive views over the surrounding bush. With airy, elevated rooms and a good atmosphere, the camp is exceptionally well positioned for easy access to Tarangire National Park.

Elegant and peaceful, The Manor is your next stop: a charming luxury retreat within the Shangri-La Coffee Estate. From here you might visit the renowned Ngorongoro Crater or safari in Lake Manyara National Park, as well as cycle, horseride or simply relax within The Manor’s grounds.

In contrast to Treetops' somewhat ethereal, lofty design and The Manor’s indulgent comforts, Serengeti Pioneer Camp offers a traditional conclusion to this African safari. The camp is smart and retains an element of seclusion, yet is set within a prolific wildlife region at the heart of Serengeti National Park.

By staying in a combination of national parks and game management areas, guests can enjoy activities such as walking and night drives which are not available within the national parks - a further plus on this varied yet luxurious safari.

The lodge sits on part of a 40 hectare (100-acre) coffee plantation, in open manicured gardens.

Days 4-6

The Manor is a luxury lodge located on the Shangri-La Coffee Estate; it covers 6km² of the Ngorongoro Highlands, adjacent to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Serengeti Pioneer Camp

Days 6-8

Opened December 2012, and located in south central Serengeti National Park, Serengeti Pioneer Camp is a smart tented camp with a touch of the early explorer about it. Built on a slope below a picturesque kopje, the camp setting retains a feeling of seclusion yet is well placed as a base for game drives across southern Serengeti's vast open plains.
