"Avani Victoria Falls review"
The Falls themselves were great - we made two 2h visits and still didn't cover it all.
The hotel was just what we wanted with good food and no need to go anywhere else (we'd had enough driving) plus the odd antelope on the lawns." See all these reviews: 10n in Zambia
"Great location and service for a family"
The only thing that would have made it more comfortable is if they had outdoor heaters at the pool restaurant. It got quite chilly in the evenings and we would have enjoyed our dinners more if we were warmer." See all these reviews: 9n in Namibia; 3n in Zambia; 1n in South Africa

As an example, when I realized I had left my fleece on the transport to the hotel a staff member - who assisted us with our bags - quickly called the transport driver who returned to the hotel and provided the fleece. The staff in both the restaurant and bar areas warmly greeted us and efficiently served our requested beverages and drinks.
Our only disappointment was the cost of the dinner buffet the one evening we chose to dine in the restaurant. Although there was an abundance and variety of foods, our appetites did not warrant such an expense. Overall a solid recommendation." "Very comfortable, great location"
The dinner buffet had a range of choices and the food was good.
Very east to walk to the falls. Staff were very pleasant." See all these reviews: 10n in Botswana; 1n in Zambia; 1n in Zimbabwe
"Zambezi Sun review"
Bar food excellent and really good value. Well worth the walk along the Zambezi to the Royal Livingstone for sundowners and hippos!
A relaxing end to the safari - didn't have to set the alarm!" See all these reviews: 11n in Tanzania; 2n in Zambia
"2 days r&r"
Only downside was that we had booked two rooms and these turned out to be at opposite ends of the corridor. My sister was by herself and felt uncomfortable being so far away so we had to ask for a room closer to ours. This was organised but it seemed odd that they had initially given us rooms so far apart - especially as the hotel was quite empty and they managed to find a room two doors down." "Zambezi Sun review"
The only suggestion we have is DONT eat in the restaurant for the evening meal. Our agent had said to go to the Royal Livingstone and we did that on the first night - excellent food and service. We tried the restaurant on the second night... it was a debacle. Who would have thought that Potato and Bacon Chowder was in fact potato salad with lettuce and tomato. The other options were all chicken and then were was chicken on the mains. They conceded that the low numbers in the restaurant had caused them problems. We should have eaten at the restaurant around the pool !" See all these reviews: 7n in Tanzania; 6n in Zambia; 5n in Botswana; 3n in Rwanda; 1n in South Africa
"convenient"
"Excellent resort, marred by mosquitos"
The main bar/pool area was fine, as was the breakfast area, but the room was a haven for mosquito's. I would recommend the hotel fumigates the rooms twice daily, when the room is turned over in the morning and once before bedtime." See all these reviews: 2n in Zambia; 2n in Zimbabwe
