Sultan Palace: picture gallery

Sultan Palace is one of Zanzibar's most elegant lodges.
The lodge is set on the top of a coral cliff offering magnificent views across the Indian ocean.
Walk down the decked pathway and you will soon discover the magic of this place.
One of the main attractions is access to the pristine beach which stretches as far a you can see.
There are plenty of loungers and shade dotted along the beach.
There is also a laid-back beach bar where lunch is served...
...Where there is an outdoor seating area covered by a thatched roof.
The infinity pool was added in 2011 and has made a huge difference to the lodge.
It is the perfect place to catch some sun.
If you want to relax more then you can also get a massage by the pool.
There are immaculately sculptured gardens which contain citronella and frangipani plants.
The well stocked main bar serves a variety of cocktails...
...And there is also a pool table.
The grand staircase leads you from the downstairs bar to the restaurant.
The views from the restaurant are almost as good as the which is food served there.
There are 15 air-conditioned suites - Ocean, Garden and Imperial.
The four poster double beds all come with mosquito nets draped from them.
All of the suites are furnished with tasteful Zanzibari antiques.
They also all come with vast en suit bathrooms.
