"Our trip exceeded all our expectations. We booked our flights (Emirates from London Gatwick to Dubai to Dar), spent one night at the Southern Sun in Dar, 3 nights at Lake Manze in the Selous and 4 nights at Mdonya in Ruaha before 5 nights at Butiama Beach in Mafia.

We very much valued the advice we were given by Expert Africa and we were certainly better prepared than most other travellers we met. All recommendations and comments given about hotels, lodges, flights were borne out by what we saw.

"This trip was a pleasure to arrange - thanks to Maruska. Very happy with the final product. Also very responsive to all my questions.

Then Claire et al helped to salvage the safari just when it looked like the Nairobi airport fire might sink us. Then your ground contractors really came through to tweak the itinerary - Wayo safaris - and get my bag back - Kearsley safaris. George our guide/driver was so much more than a driver - very knowledgable, gracious, patient and just a nice guy. We liked him a lot. The camp at Kogatende - not mentioned in this questionnaire - was excellent (my God it was remote) - time at the Mara will not be forgotten.

I cant think of a single negative and I can think of several things "above and beyond" - not least getting us to Tanzania in time for the safari.

"This was our first trip to Africa so we were unsure of what to expect. Liz from Expert Africa gave us ideas and direction when we needed help with planning and sorted our flights out which had to be changed several times due to BA timetable alterations.

We loved Beho Beho which was the highlight of the holiday but the whole holiday was of a very high standard. "This was a real great trip. Thanks to the advice of Claire, we were in the right area in the right season to see birds and animals while being able to see a bit of green in Africa (we had always gone in Africa in dry season before).

I would nevertheless make a suggestion: Siwandu is such a wonderful place that you should always end the trip by staying there. We stayed first in Siwandu and second in Impala and I’m afraid Impala couldn’t meet the comparison with Siwandu (though Impala was globally OK)." "Fantastic! The opportunity to stay in 2 different parks (Ruaha and Selous) was very good, as they have a quite different feel to them and also different weather. Going at low season was beneficial to us as we received more personal attention than if we were just part of a crowd. It also meant that there were not loads of other safari vehicles at a sighting.

We did experience some rainfall in both parks, though more in Ruaha, but this did not unduly affect our activities and did not present a problem. We had some excellent sightings even though the bush was green and leafy, and it was actually quite good to have them scattered throughout the parks rather than being all in one place next to a water hole.

Both camps were excellent, in their different ways.

Can't wait to go again!

"Emmanauel our guide for the first ten days. Excellent. Very experienced. Wide knowledge of the bush and hte country. Pleasant travelling companion. Very anxious to pelase.
Vehicle - very good. Claire had managed to arrange winding windows for us . Essential for my husband's photography.

Emmanuel is to be highly recommended.

Claire is thanked for an excellent programme yet again. We identified 48 different mammals. 266 different birds!

"Another wonderful trip, our 12th (!) with Expert Africa.This was probably the simplest to arrange - thank you Ellie.

Although Mwagusi lost one paw in the marking for the temperature of the food it was definitely our favourite of the two camps - to the extent that Jane cried on having to leave!

Trip 13 is booked and 14 in the planning stages!
