"Overall it was a great trip and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on Safari. I forgot to mention that the old vehicles used at Beho Beho need replacing as the seats are very uncomfortable and bad for backs and the winches need dealing with to avoid potentially dangerous situations.

"The four of us have now done several safaris and always enjoy that special experience. Expert Africa are generally a big part of the process and have always delivered. The camps they direct us towards are always of the highest standard.

The brief this time was to experience the calving of the Wildebeest and to see some cats. These boxes were both ticked. I am a keen photographer and would offer this observation. The plains of the Southern Serengeti are so vast that the majority of the time, no matter what lens, my focal point was generally 'infinity'. We have been able to have more intimate sightings in other places.

The trip taught us to never take things for granted. One becomes so use to regular sightings of Elephant in Africa that the paucity on this trip was a surprise and slightly disappointing. I would be interested to know if this was just a seasonal thing or indicative of the areas visited. A definitive answer wasn't really forthcoming at either camp." "We had a wonderful time.

The combination of the comfort and relaxing atmosphere of Gibbs Farm with six nights under canvas at Dunia and Olakira worked very well.

"All aspects of our trip to Tanzania ran smoothly as per the arrangements made by Expert Africa. My wife has mobility and dietary requirements which were managed satisfactorily.

The roads in Dar are not adequate to manage the volume of traffic so journeys take much longer than might be indicated by the distance. The airport is poor but a new one has been built and will hopefully be opening soon.

We have done a lot of safaris and prefer places that are more remote and uncrowded but with good facilities. Selous was a good choice in this regard. We did get to see wildlife but obviously not the volumes of the Serengeti etc." Read full review: 7 nights in Africa; 4 on a Tanzania safari

"We had a wonderful trip. It was our first safari in east Africa and something we will do again. In the past we have self driven and we were wary of being with a guide but Esto was excellent and knowledgeable. In particular he did not join large groups of vehicles around the big ticket wildlife causing them stress but drove on and found us something else that we could watch quietly."
