"First class, really enjoyed our stay."
"A fascinating place"
Dinner in the Livingstone Room was a highlight - except the mosquitoes lurking under the table!" See all these reviews: 9n in Namibia; 7n in Zimbabwe; 3n in Botswana
"Colonialism is still alive."
I didnt eat there apart from breakfast as I took the Zambezie river cruise that served food and champagne, but the breakfast was the most comprehensive I have ever experienced, even from a top flight Hong Kong hotel.
The setting was tropical and the staff were attentive and couteous. My room looked out over the grounds at the back directly in front of the famous bridge that separates Zambia from Zimbabwe." See all these reviews: 6n in Tanzania; 5n in Zanzibar; 1n in Kenya; 1n in Zimbabwe
"Charming hotel by Victoria Falls"
There were many rooms for guests to entertain in, but my favorite was the piano room which led to a terrace overlooking a vast garden and Victoria Falls bridge. There's a path that would take you from the hotel to Victoria Falls, which we took advantage of. We stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed the afternoon, massages and food.
Would recommend this place to anyone coming to Victoria Falls!" See all these reviews: 6n in Tanzania; 2n in Zimbabwe
"Unlocked for upgrade"
Used as rest day, walking to falls and afternoon by large pool. Took small meals on Terrace restaurant, not overpriced.
Hotel remains icon of historical decadent luxury in Vic Falls tourist bubble in country trying to feed itself. Nevertheless a fabulous experience" See all these reviews: 8n in Zimbabwe
"Victoria Falls Hotel - perfect!"
Loved the ambience of this hotel. Many very interesting communal rooms. The Stanley Terrace was an amazing place to sit - comfortable chairs - stunning view - impeccable service. Food excellent.
It was our 45th wedding anniversary and we were given a wonderful welcome - flowers and wine in our room with a lovely poem tied up in a scroll with a red rose.
Our room was extremely comfortable with a king size bed, spacious bathroom and quiet air conditioning.
Activities - no comment as we did not arrange activities via the hotel.
We did go on a wonderful Zambezi Sundowner River Explorer (Signature Deck) that Megan at Expert Africa arranged for us." See all these reviews: 6n in Botswana; 5n in Zimbabwe
"Victoria Falls Hotel review"
My daughter and I did the zip wire over the gorge from the Zimbawaen side which only took us half way across which was a bit disappointing and very expensive.
We really enjoyed the 'booze cruise' on the Zambezi and my husband and other daughter went white water rafting which is quite hairy and you need to be fairly fit to walk down and up the gorge sides to the river." See all these reviews: 9n in Botswana; 3n in Zimbabwe
"One of the best views"
The staff are excellent and very helpful they arranged a screening of the England v Russia game for us at another hotel." See all these reviews: 12n in Zimbabwe

"A truly great hotel"
The welcome, ambience, service, attention to detail, amenities and food were of the highest order.
One felt it was a privilege to have stayed there and the icing on the cake was that it was only a few minutes walk from the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls." See all these reviews: 10n in Zimbabwe
