"The trip was wonderful, everything worked like clockwork and all the arrangements were perfect.

Namibia was a beautiful country and the weather was perfect, much warmer than we expected, though cold at night, and no clouds at all for the entire trip, fog at Swakopmund on one day. The driving on tarmac was easy and on gravel we felt that 4x4 made the driving much more pleasant, others suffered with ordinary hire cars.

We ventured into towns, shops and garages and felt quite comfortable, only at Windhoek was there more of an edge with quite a lot of youths hanging about in the evening. The standard of accommodation and food was higher than we had expected, the scenery outstanding and the game in Etosha more widespread than we had expected." "Expert Africa were the Experts for us. We had a vague idea it would be good to go to Namibia - had read the guidebooks but needed Gwynneth to really sort us out and she provided us with a tour of Namibia which encompassed many fantastic experiences of a wonderful country with great people.

When we tell people about the holiday they are surprised, intrigued, interested. It was one of the safest and most relaxing holidays of our experience and we have been a few places.

"The trip just got better and better. It exceeded all our expectations and we had a great time.

It was probably the best holiday we have ever had, despite it being quite hectic. We found the notes provided by Expert Africa prior to our trip very helpful. T

The only thing that really caught us out was how cold it was at night and on the early morning and evening drives. Most of the lodges provided hot water bottles and blankets at night, and also provided blankets on the drives. We had taken fleeces but we still felt that we could have done with more warm clothing.

"This was a long trip (4,000 Km), but it is a big country which deserves to be seen. If you want to see all of Namibia, take several trips, but make sure you see the best bits.

"The Scenery is fabulous and the visit was well worth while.

There were problems with some aspects which detracted from the overall experience - poor vehicle from Europcar, some booking problems, some places where wer appeared to get the worst of the accomodation that was on offer, rather than the best.." "We both really enjoyed our road trip around Namibia. Expert Africa were really excellent in organising our itinerary and I felt really secure in the knowledge that all the accommodation was booked up correctly so that when we arrived from a long drive to a lodge or guesthouse everything was in order. It was great to just hand over a voucher and not have to mess around with credit cards or passport details.

We were advised to rent a 4x4 but we took the risk in hiring a 2wd during one of the better rainy seasons that Namibia has experienced.... Things were a bit dodgy in places with relatively deep water to cross and many bits of slippery muddy patches and rocks to navigate around but we did it and that gave us a more adventurous edge to our holiday which lead to some good escape stories when we got back!!

The scenery was spectacular, the animals gorgeous and the vast open spaces a fantastic escape from the hustle and bustle of London. I loved every minute of my holiday and would highly recommend Expert Africa to anyone planning a trip to Namibia.

The pack that was sent out prior to the trip was excellent. The map all marked out with our route and places we were staying at was fantastic. All the added details like copies of brochures and print out of maps was fantastic too. I really felt confident in the hands of Expert Africa and everything went according to plan on a 3 week trip so it was a nice treat for me to put the organising of a holiday in the hands of someone else. "We had a superb trip to Namibia seeing nearly all that we missed on a previous visit. Our eyes were opened to the diversity of the country and we feel privileged to have travelled through the places and met the people that we did.

All the accomodation was good, some moreso than others but in general the level of service was high in all instances.

Value for money could not be bettered.

Distances to be covered were well within our capacity and presented no problems. We found several interesting side roads to take especially the D707 from Sinclair Guest Farm to Aus (recommended by Peter and very picturesque} and the road from Bagatelle to Kalkrand {through the dunes}. Amazingly empty roads made driving a pleasure.

The friendliness of the local people and their helpfulness was evident to see and reassuring when you are travelling in a foreign country.

Only one incident with a female police officer jarred. We were stopped outside Otjirawongo for speeding and were told that a fine would have to be paid of N$100 but that she did not have any receipts so we would have to return to Otavi, an hours drive back.As I was not keen to drive back I elected to pay her without a receipt but only had N$70 in small notes. This she accepted without turning a hair. There was no ticket produced so I can only assume she made a profit! We were later told that the police only tend to operate speed traps within 20 km of towns so why go back to Otavi?

That aside we would like to thank Sabina for all her help and hard work in making our trip the success it was.
