"Hoodia Desert Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 19 May 2011
"The rooms are comfortable and well equipped if rather dark, and there is the option of an outside bathroom, which we did not use in the chilly May nights. The food is of a high standard and the staff attentive. The location near to Sesriem is excellent for access to Soussusvlei. We'd like to highlight the helpfulness of the manager David, who was so kind when our car failed to start on the morning when we were to drive to Swakopmund." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia

"Hoodia was a hoot"

2 nights Arrived 1 Nov 2010
"I was more than happy to stay here. The owner and staff couldn't do enough, from the cold towel and welcome drink on arrival, to making sure we always had a full glass of something to quench a thirst. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone who likes privacy and an optional outside shower.

The location was perfect for visiting the dunes. If you get the chance, stay in rooms 1 or 12 - they are furthest from the lodge and very quiet." See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia

"Hoodia Desert Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 13 Sep 2010
"Only 15 minutes drive from Sossusvlei gate this lodge has everything you want and more. There is an outdoor bathroom-bliss - or indoor if you wish.We got the warmest welcome ever and treated more like friends than guests. Fresh milk was put in our fridge for the coffee machine instead of the powdered variety and also a breakfast pack for our Sossusvlei trip.

Even the troublesome tailgate lock on the 4x4 was mended for us.

I urge you to give this place a try. You'll be glad you did. At least 2 nights.

Tomas is a star!" See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia; 6n in South Africa
