"Lukozi Mobile Camp review"

3 nights Arrived 31 Jul 2011
"This was without doubt the highlight of our time in Hwange. We were with the intrepid David Carson who is the man to hang out with if you want the real safari experience.

We stayed in luxury tents but you don't go on mobile safari for the facilities, which were top notch anyway ,but for the walking and the tracking and the really being in the wild. Dave is full of energy and real passion for this place and its wildness and his enthusiasm can't help but rub off on you. We had a really exciting and fun time as we spent much of it either driving off road or walking in the bush.

We went on foot tracking Elephant in a dry river bed, got close to a large herd of Buffalo, watched a pod of Hippos from a safe distance as they drank by the waters edge and sat it out in our open jeep for a few hours as the sunset while a pride of young lion surrounded us getting close enough to check the tyres!

I would do it all again tomorrow and our two boys loved it as they got a real taste of adventure with African ground beneath their feet. It does help to be young of heart, adventurous of spirit and in o.k shape if you are going to choose this sort of experience but it beats sitting by a pool any day." "fantastic walking safari at Hwange - Lukozi"

6 nights Arrived 10 Oct 2010
"The mobile walking safari was tremendous! We had the right mix of freedom, excitement and comfort with fabulous opportunities to view Hwange National Park with all its occupants. Andrew, our guide, expertly introduced us to huge numbers of animals and birds and the camp staff looked after us handsomely. Felix the tracker, Carnecious the cook, hostess Gemma and camp staff Ivan and Brighton, all get A*

Thank you Andrew and Gemma and the crew for making this the most exciting and wonderful experience we have had as a family. The whole family were ecstatic about the experience with enough adrenaline flowing whilst tracking and stalking animals and luxury in mobile camps to make this the most memorable time ever. We tracked and saw white rhino, nose to tail elephants, lions, fabulous birds, giraffes, zebras - it was amazing.

We learnt so much from Andrew about the flora and fauna and how to respect the environment and stay safe. Despite the heat (46 degrees) we were out every day at daylight to sunset without one murmour of protest from the family and supported by the camp team we had loads of water available, great food and felt like we were really well looked after

We would fully recommend Lukozi to any future customers" See all these reviews: 8n in Zimbabwe; 3n in Zambia
