"Great food at Olive Grove "

1 night Arrived 5 Sep 2017
"The downside is you have to share the terrace with other guests, there is not much privacy, other guests can see you when you are in your room when they walk to their rooms or stay on the terrace.

We had two dinners there, food was great but they could change the menu which was exactly the same on our two stays.

There were dogs barking all afternoon and till late night, this is a bit annoying." See all these reviews: 8n in Namibia

"Good service but slightly claustraphobic"

1 night Arrived 2 Sep 2017
"the Staff at the Olive Grove are very helpful and friendly. The food provided at all meals is pretty good. However what we didnt like I'm afraid was that found this property to be quite claustrophobic (it is a small complex and the rooms are in very close proximity to the open seating area and indeed the eating area - there is nowhere to walk or stroll or get a feeling of space or any views. Personally we would have preferred to spend our one night in and our one night out at one of the camps in the Windhoek area en route to/from the airport - where we could have spent more quality time and stretched our legs a little." "Good place for a stop over"

1 night Arrived 23 Jul 2017
"As before, very good evening meal. We had to leave very early in the morning (3.30a.m.) for a flight to Jo'burg, but they gave us an enormous 'packed breakfast' (far to much for that time of the morning!)
Quite a long drive to the airport if you do have an early flight." See all these reviews: 10n in Botswana; 9n in Namibia

"Exremely comfortable, good service"

1 night Arrived 22 May 2017
"We spent one night here on arrival in Windhoek. Olive Grove was easy to find, with the benefit of the Expert Africa marked map, and one's car is parked within their secure gates. Our room was on the ground floor in the courtyard (don't remember room number) and was very comfortable. We ate lunch, dinner, and breakfast at the Olive Grove and food was excellent.

The only very minor snafu (which may have been our jet-lagged/traveling misunderstanding) was that we heard that dinner was 6 pm onwards so when we arrived around 7 pm we were surprised that everyone else was just finishing at it appeared that it was a firm 6 pm start. This was not a problem and they served us an excellent meal. We walked into town, which is very straight forward, around 20 minutes I think." See all these reviews: 19n in Namibia
