"Good starting point."
"Olive Grove comfortable and welcoming "
The staff were lovely and recommended and booked a table for us at Joes Beer House where we had a fun night meeting other travellers and sampling one or two cocktails! Very popular and atmospheric bar/restaurant.
On our return to Olive Grove at the end of the evening we found hot water bottles in our beds and port and chocolates for a nightcap. Would thoroughly recommend Olive Grove." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia

"Great room but poor service - disappointing"
Despite this we booked for dinner here on our last night, as the Elegant Guest House did not provide dinners and it was nearby. However, on arrival we discovered that they had not reserved a place for us and we were abruptly told that dinners were exclusive to those staying at the Olive Grove." "The Olive Grove a luxurious start to the trip"
We did ask for a map of the surrounding area and were provided with one and directions to get to "town". We walked to this area and there were a couple of other restaurants and Joe's Beer Bar but it didn't feel right to aim to eat there and walk the distance back as evening was drawing in.

We added dinner to our B&B on each stay here and all meals were excellent, with breakfasts having a 'worldwide' choice. Lots of really nice special touches - the breakfast menu has an outline of main features of Windhoek as well as mini map, after dinner a complementary mini carafe of port and a couple of chocolates - nice small touches.
