"Good stopover for one night, but perhaps lacked character. Close to Jo's restaurant."

"We were upgraded and put in the new premium Olive hotel. I have no idea how much this cost (originally and if we had not been upgraded), but whatever it was - it was worth it. The room was stupendous...
We ate dinner in the hotel as well and the food was exceptional. Highly, highly recommended.
Very good location for getting to the airport in the morning...wish we'd stayed longer." See all these reviews: 6n in Namibia; 6n in Botswana

"We were given an upgrade to a suite in the newly opened sister hotel. Absolutely fantastic.
Doubtless done so that we could report back to you! or is that a bit cynical? Anyway it was much appreciated." See all these reviews: 18n in Namibia; 6n in Zimbabwe

"Olive Grove review"
1 night Arrived 13 Sep 2011
"We stayed one night at the Olive Grove at the start of our Namibia trip - our second stay, one having alos overnighted there at the end of our holiday in 2008.
The Olive Grove is a very comfortable but unpretentious guesthouse with easy access to central Windhoek for restauarants etc - although it does serve light lunches and excellent limited-choice 3 course dinners (currently NAD230) for those who, like us, just want some R&R.
The 11 rooms are large and cool and well-equipped, although the grey decor and stonework is starting to be in need to some maintenance (a new hotel under the same ownership has recently been built on adjoining land, which have been a distraction!).
Staff are very friendly and helpful, and there is internet access in the lounge. Good use has been amde of the limited grounds, with some very comfortable sunloungers and a small plunge pool. There is enclosed car parking for self-drivers.
The Olive Grove remains continues to be a pleasant interlude at the start or end of a Namibia holiday." See all these reviews: 10n in Namibia

"Boutiquey Olive Grove"
1 night Arrived 25 Jul 2011
"Beautiful guesthouse, very stylish and relaxing. Really lovely open lounge arrangement with the kitchen so you could watch dinner being cooked and chat to the staff.
Fantastic room, fab bathroom. Biggest bath I have ever seen, unfortunately there just wasnt enough hot water to get it filled above a puddle.
Dinner was superb, expensive but worth it.
We had to ask for a packed breakfast because we were leaving so early. We had high hopes for it because the dinner had been so good , and because we had watched them baking bread the night before. Very disappointing, stale packet sandwich and packets of sweets. It was like a Macdonalds happy meal.Had to buy something at airport instead.
A very nice way to relax at the end of a long trip, good access to the city ( not really walkable though). Had a SPA room with treatments so you could really wind down before travelling." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia

"Relax at Olive Grove"
1 night Arrived 20 Jul 2011
"Nice little place to relax in Klein-Windhoek. It is a bit out of the centre, which was fine for us, as we had experienced Windhoek centre on arrival to Namibia.
They offer spa treatments, which we did not try out as we only had a couple of hours there in the afternoon and wanted an early night before an early transfer to the airport." See all these reviews: 17n in Namibia
