"Namibia Sep 08"

I visited Namibia between 4 Sep 2008 and 22 Sep 2008
"Fantastic, we're already planning our next trip. A very memorable holiday, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Suggestions for improvement:

Just one - the travel notes say that an adaptor for South Africa and Namibia is hard to find, and it may be better to take a UK power lead and re-wire it to a local plug. This isn't very helpful, because most power leads for battery chargers and shavers have sealed plugs, so you can't disconnect them without damaging them. However, I think the adaptors are becoming more widely available - I found them at Nomad Travel shops, at Selfridges, on Amazon, at Heathrow and at Johannesburg Airport, and if I'd kept looking no doubt I would have found them in lots of other places." "We would love to return"

I visited Namibia between 3 Sep 2008 and 19 Sep 2008
"As Africa/Namibia virgins we were perhaps not quite as prepared for the long distances involved as we thought and got very tired at times whilst we acclimatised to the gravel roads and heat. You need to be prepared to get going early in the day, something we were not terribly good at in the beginning especially with all the wonderful wildlife and stunning scenery to photograph.

With hindsight it would perhaps be better not to try and cover such a large area but on the whole it was fantastic to do what we did, we felt we had had a real adventure and met some wonderful, charming people. All Sabina's arrangements for us went perfectly and we would like to thank her very much for her care and attention." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 10 on a Namibia trip

"The accomodations were superb and the locations allowed us maximum game viewing, which was our prime purpose.

Tracy was correct in that we took on more driving than recommended. We were fortunate that we had no car trouble, but it did cause concern in certain areas, particularly in the north." Read full review: 10 nights in Africa; 8 on a Namibia trip

"We have just returned from our holiday in Namibia, and I must thank you for helping us organise such a wonderful trip!

Namibia is a fantastic holiday destination; the people are welcoming and hospitable, and we had no problems. The standard of the accommodation that you recommended to us far exceeded our expectations, and the food and service was all top quality.

So thank you for your help, and will make sure we recommend our friends that Namibia is the perfect holiday destination (and to book through Expert Africa)!

"A brilliant trip that was a dream come true"

I visited Namibia between 15 Aug 2008 and 29 Aug 2008
"Excellent.

From the planning and organisation (including the marking of the route on the map) and all of the information we were given to the experience of the holiday itself this was a perfect trip.

We would recommend Expert Africa to anybody contemplating going to this part of the world (and indeed have done)

We knew very little when we started looking at the possibility of this trip but Sabina's help has been superb. Whenever we told people in Namibia where were going we were told what an excellent itinerary we had been given. Thank you." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 10 on a Namibia trip

"A truly beautiful country"

I visited Namibia between 15 Aug 2008 and 2 Sep 2008
"The whole trip was excellent. From my initial query all the way through I dealt with Gwynneth, her suggestions were spot on, she was always more than happy to answer my questions. I would normally arrange a holiday myself, but not having travelled in Africa before it was a reassurance to have one company to book everything, and I couldn't have picked a better company than Expert Africa.

It was good to be able to read other people's experiences on the website, I found that one of the most useful tools for selecting lodges, along with Gwynneth's good advice. I wouldn't change a single part of our holiday.

Namibia itself is a wonderful and varied country, the scenery is vast and ever-changing. The people we met were welcoming & seemed genuinely happy that we'd chosen Namibia to visit, their sense of humour, and good nature added to the whole enjoyment of the trip, not to mention the singing, even when doing the most mundane jobs. The birds, animals and night sky were a bonus.

Two of our party were vegetarian & we had no problems whatsoever with food, with notice it didn't seem to be a problem. My father was most impressed that you can buy Marmite in the supermarkets, and two lodges we stayed at even had it on the breakfast table!

I shall return one day, hopefully in the not too distant future & will happily use Expert Africa's services again.
