"Gourmet stay in Matemwe"

4 nights Arrived 5 Nov 2014
"I was happy that I had done my research and knew that the beach here was not suitable for swimming. It was, however, and awesome place to watch local villagers go about their life and to learn about the culture of Zanzibar. The location is idyllic, truly stunning.

If you are looking for a place to lay in the sun for a few days and worry about nothing, this is a great place to do it. The bungalows are lovely, although I did have a cat that appeared in mine one night, so not entirely sure how secure they are.

The real highlight here is the food. The menus are varied every night, the seafood is impeccable and every meal is memorable, The restaurant staff are lovely and do their best to make you feel welcome.

I also enjoyed the spa and indulged in a body massage, a cinnamon-clove body scrub and a papaya- honey facial. All expertly performed and well worth the extra expense." See all these reviews: 6n in Zanzibar; 4n in Tanzania

"Green and Blue review"

3 nights Arrived 23 Sep 2012
"Green and Blue is a very nice hotel but it did seem to lack that special "Honeymoon" touch you might for. The rooms are nice but a little spartan and seem oddly thought out - there was a plunge pool that was cold and in the shade all day (and only about a third full) that seemed to have little function other than to allow the hotel to boast that they had private plunge pools.

There was no hot water on arrival and we had to go and use the showers in one of the vacant rooms.

That said, it is a beautiful place and the food was the best we had in Africa." See all these reviews: 7n in Tanzania; 7n in Zanzibar
