"My magical September 2014 journey"

I visited Kenya between 2 Sep 2014 and 14 Sep 2014
"Had no expectations but if we had high ones they would have been exceeded. Truely a unique experience where nature is at the center of everything you do.

Thanks to Richard and Expert Africa for tailoring a perfect trip with all logistics and travel locations arranged in a highly professional and reliable manner. We only had to experience and enjoy." Read full review: 12 nights in Africa; 12 on a Kenya safari

"All that I Expected and More"

I visited Kenya between 2 Sep 2014 and 14 Sep 2014
"The trip as a whole was wonderful, thanks to the great planning of Richard Trillo and anyone else who made this trip so easy and yet exciting.

My only negative comment was the lack of internet access. We had WiFi at Macushla House, which was great. My husband was happy to hear that I had arrived safetly. When we got to Offbeat Meru, I was told the the internet was "down" temporarily. I assumed this could not be avoided, but was concerned because I had not expected this.

We had WIFI and Sosian so I was once again in touch with my family. But at Offbeat Mara I could not contact my husband. I just wish I had been told this ahead of time so I would know what to expect." Read full review: 12 nights in Africa; 11 on a Kenya safari

"My Aug 2014 trip"

I visited Kenya between 19 Aug 2014 and 1 Sep 2014
"We enjoyed our trip and will have many good memories. When three people travel together, it's difficult to represent all opinions in one rating form, but the important point of view is that we were glad we went and were largely satisfied with our itinerary.

Emakoko, where we spent our last day, was not on the feedback list. I'd like to add that it is lovely and I would have enjoyed an overnight there. When I was dealing with a family emergency and had no cell signal, Anton was very generous and helpful, and the staff was excellent. Also, this was the best food we had on our trip." "My Aug 2014 trip"

I visited Kenya between 1 Aug 2014 and 10 Aug 2014
"A really brilliant and well organised trip, the combination of El Karama and Encounter Mara was a really nice combination and worked well. Transfers were painless and I really couldn't ask for more.

Thanks again for organising.

"Another excellent safari by Expert Africa"

I visited Kenya between 8 Jul 2014 and 20 Jul 2014
"Yet again this was another truly excellent safari to Africa. We hadn't been to Kenya for some time and were slighly concerned about the numbers of vehicles we would see during our game drives having been spoilt in Zambia and Botswana by the almost total isolation experienced in their reserves. While you do see a number of vehicles around an animal sighting it's not too intrusive with the exception of the wildebeest crossing when it's a bit like Picadilly Circus.

Expert Africa's assistance and expertise ensured that the camps we picked were exactly what we had hoped for, small and intimate with great food, game viewing and accommodation. Many thanks to Ellie Dunkels for once again putting together a memorable trip. All the internal connections and pickups worked as planned and this confidence in the EA team is why we come back each time to EA when planning our trips.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Expert Africa to anyone considering a trip to the southern continent of Africa.

"Offbeat to Tassia"

I visited Kenya between 11 Jun 2014 and 20 Jun 2014
"I can't thank Expert Africa enough for helping build the perfect itinerary for myself. Having never been to Kenya, I relied on Richard Trillo for guidance and boy did he deliver!

Everything ran smoothly and I also have to mention my driver Edward who collected me from the airport and drove me around for eight hours on my last day in Nairobi. Charming fellow and I felt very safe with him. Offbeat was a perfect start to my safari and Tassia was the best place to truly unwind and feel on vacation.

Every animal I viewed and every personal experience I had with the two camps staff will remain in my memory forever. These people helped me fall in love with Kenya. I will return." Read full review: 9 nights in Africa; 9 on a Kenya safari

"My Feb 2014 trip"

I visited Kenya between 8 Feb 2014 and 23 Feb 2014
"We had a fantastic trip.

The second camp we chose was much smarter than we had expected, we couldn't fault it but we would have preferred something more relaxed with the use of the campfire rather than formal lounge. As we were the only ones there we felt they needed to alter their routine a little.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

The rough guide was very helpful.

We felt the early visa option was a waste of money as we queued just the same as those purchasing at the airport." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 13 on a Kenya safari

"A lot of variety from one week in Kenya"

I visited Kenya between 2 Feb 2014 and 9 Feb 2014
"Each day was busy with activities and the seven days were full and rewarding. Offbeat Meru is pretty unique and was made really special by our guide (Dominic) whose eye sight and knowledge were both excellent. We had to work to see animals in Meru national park, which is much more rewarding compared with places where sightings are guaranteed.

Chances we won't return to Offbeat, but we can imagine returning to Sandai not least because it is relaxed and easy going. There's little in the way of procedure and process and a lot to be said for meeting others of like mind. Nearby Solio is good for a satisfying safari and the Aberdares offers a contrast, especially up above 3000m.

Overall we were very happy with the week." Read full review: 7 nights in Africa; 7 on a Kenya safari

"Amazing trip to Kenya"

I visited Kenya between 2 Feb 2014 and 7 Feb 2014
"We were in Nairobi for about 10 days for a friend's wedding before going on our Expert Africa safari. There is a lot to see in and around Nairobi and we felt like we saw a bit of the real Kenya.

Our EA portion of our trip was relaxing and friendly, and surpassed our expectations for a safari experience. Our children are already asking to go back to Kenya, especially to El Karama. We travel a good bit and this is not their normal response!

Our trip was well organized and all of our questions were answered by Richard. He is a wonderful resource and I would not hesitate to use his or EA's expertise again when going to Africa. Thank you for everything!" Read full review: 5 nights in Africa; 3 on a Kenya safari

"My February 2014 Safari in Kenya"

I visited Kenya between 2 Feb 2014 and 9 Feb 2014
"My trip was excellent from start to finish.

Richard was very helpful in finding two perfect safari spots, the first for three generations of our family at El Karama and the second for me alone. Everything was seamless from the first plane ride from Nairobi to Nanyuki to El Karama with my family all the way to my trip back to the airport in Nairobi from Sosian Ranch.

It was all very exciting for me and I consider it the best vacation I have ever had." Read full review: 7 nights in Africa; 6 on a Kenya safari
