Topi House: picture gallery

Topi House is close to the traditional Maasai community.
The house is an unassuming bungalow from the outside…
…set on the savannah amid acacias…
…in prime, big cat country.
You're met on arrival by the Topi House staff.
The veranda is a lovely spot to rest.
To the left, you come into the lounge…
…with a fireplace…
…and comfy sofas and armchairs.
Beyond is the dining room, and a table big enough to seat 8 or 10 guests.
We found the food here very tasty (even if our photos don't do it justice)…
…and the house wines very drinkable.
Off the veranda…
…the main double bedroom is welcoming…
…and well furnished…
…with a dressing table and wardrobe…
…and a good-sized en suite bathroom…
…with a shower, single basin and loo.
The second double (or twin) room is very similar…
…and also has a roomy, rustic ensuite bathroom.
At the opposite end of the veranda from the lounge is the twin bedroom…
…furnished with two single beds…
…under one large mosquito net…
…and featuring, like the other rooms, a floor fan…
…and some individual decorative touches.
As well as game drives in a well set-up vehicle…
…you can pay a visit to the local Maasai community…
…which will include an invitation inside a traditional house.
